sorry all.
i do all my nesing from work, but friday looked like this:
wake up in morning, decide to go to hospital instead of work, hoping to go to work late.
get to hospital, find out my doctor's whole office dont open till 9am. go back home.
come back to hospital at 9am, get told "would you like to scedule an apointment for the 15th of december?". answer "screw you, i'll just go to emergency room then." they say "well, wait, maybe he can squeeze you into his schedule today"
wait a couple hours watching the martha stewart show, cause that's what they have on in their waiting room.
finaly see doctor.
explain to him that on the train a few days ago i fell asleep. when i woke up my hand had "fallen asleep" too. nothing unusual. but then my hand didnt wake up for DAYS. he sais "oh, you just squezed the blood suply off from the nerve, and damaged it. hope it didnt die completely, cause modern medicine cant do didly-squat for nerve damage"
anyway he said "you need to go to the nerve testing department and have them put some electric current through your nerve to see if its completely dead or what"
by this time its about noon.
the "nerve testing department" tells me same bull about "schedule an appointment for mid december", do these people expect patients to know 6 weeks in advance that they're gonna get sick or hurt themselves?
anyway, they tell me eventualy "go home, we'll call you when we have the time to see you today" (i live 5 mins walking from the hospital).
by 5pm noone had called and their office picked up with an answering machine saying "our business hours are..... please call back...."
so i said "screw it", and left for my sister's place.
spending the weekend here with my hand still asleep, and i dont care. i'll sue the hospital/doctor if they later tell me that i gotta amputate it or something. i'll get one of those pirate captian hooks. typing will be wierd though.
edit: forgot to say the important part. so update is monday when i get back to work. sorry for the delay
