Rollercoaster tycoon 3, small question.

Hello,

I bought rollercoaster tycoon 3 deluxe edition that includes the expansions a couple of days ago, but it's the xp version from 2006 (not the new windows 7 deluxe one) and i am wondering if i need any new patches for it, and where i could get them.

When i play the game i notice slowdown once i put a lot of items down and i was wondering if i need a new patch, i've looked everywhere but sadly it seems i can't find any info on patches, i tried the official site but there does'nt seem to be anything there regarding patches

Anyone still playing rollercoaster tycoon 3 that might know if i need a new patch? thank you for your help

You'd probably be better off asking somewhere else... I can't imagine that you are the only one with the problem if it is a problem.

IMO, it's quite natural for the game to slow down while rendering many objects, for example, laying down pre-built roller coaster tracks, even if you're pc has four cores, like mine (i7 actually).

Also, check your pc temperature. If it's quite hot, buy a mini electric fan, or, if you prefer, keep the room air conditioned while you play.

If problems still persist, then read the 2nd post.

I am fully patched it seems, the newest version is "platinum" and that allows for it to work on windows 7, but it still only uses one core i think, as i have a core duo it's only using one of them so the game slows down a little, i'l just lower the graphics a bit.

Thanks all for your help, if anyone reading this has'nt played rollercoaster tycoon 3 before, give it a whirl it's a really fun game
