Well how wrong could I be! :crazyeye:

SA were terrible. I can only imagine what NZ will do to them next week.
49-0. Noone would have predicted that scoreline. SA were embarassing to watch.

@Nobody, perhaps you could put up a table to show the ladder of this competition.

My God, almost 50-0 thats the most crazy score since the league tri-nations. Who knows what it means maybe australia just had a bad game the week before,

Ill try and find a table im too lazy to do it myself.

35-17,

Another Glorious Victory for the Forces of Good!!

I haven't watched the game yet, but that scoreline is closer than I expected. What happened? SA played decently for a change? All Blacks weren't as ruthless as normal?

I would say the oz-sa scoreline was luckly, australia deserved to win but the 50 points was a little fluke. This time SA had something to prove and they did play well. They scored the first try in 7 seconds, thank god carter was there to score 25 points.

I didn't see todays game, but I would not call last weeks result a fluke. Not only were SA terrible, but Australia had the ball held up over the line 3 times and still scored 49 points.

In any language, it was a real drubbing!

As I said, I have not yet seen todays match, but the result is a lot closer than I expected.

The South Africans could have won today, had Percy Montgomery been up to par and the South Africans have any sense as regarding making needless infractions, the penalty count was horrid.

Still, I wanted the New Zealanders to win as they played the more attacking and attractive rugby, but with better tactics and place kicking the All Blacks could/should have been beaten today. That said, NZ rested 8 front line players and probably were playing within themselves...

I didnt really mean fluke i just meant australia was luckly, they played well and deserved to win they got luckly that south africa fell over.

The games im looking forward to are the ones in south africa.

Man, didn't Richie do well not to lose his cool, that and the fact Rocky didn't get sent off was quite remarkable.

Well done New Zealand, deserved Tri-Nations Winners and the only thing that'd get me out of bed at 6:30 am in the morning to watch.

Ben Tune wrote a blog for the Sydney Morning Herald. In that were two 'interesting' quotes:

On Lote Tuqiri's tackle, I will make only one point, which is that the player getting tackled needs to take some responsibility for the part they play in getting themselves in as safe a position as humanly possible when lifted off the ground.

Richie McCaw was lifted by Lote (not a lot I should add) but, instead of crunching his stomach and twisting his body, which is what you are taught to do when lifted off the ground; he stayed pencilled straight so that his head, instead of his shoulder blades, made contact with the ground. I am not condoning spear tackles but I will stand by Lote and say this was not a spear tackle but an aggressive, dominant tackle, which we are normally praised for doing. Granted it looked ugly but I would be really disappointed with the way our game is heading if Lote got suspended for that tackle.

There you go - it was McCaw's fault.

Speaking of McCaw, I thought the Wallaby back row did a fine job in targeting him last night and keeping him as quiet as possible. A player who has that much influence on the game needs to be pinpointed for special attention and it was obvious that Phil Waugh and Rocky Elsom had been given that role last night. I thought they both did a great job in executing that directive.

So swinging arms into people head's off-the-ball is OK... as long as its what the coach wants.

The recent NZ Australia game was a great game to watch from a neutral's perspective. Until the last minute the teams were seperated by less than a converted try. Congratulations to NZ who just had enough to bring home the result, something they have been able to do in every tri nations game.

Again, well done to the All Blacks.:goodjob:

....and me, normally an atomic bomb would not get me out of bed this early.....but rugby! :D
