Okay, I admit a new weakness....I've been watching American Idol this season (didn't watch it last season...and this is my only reality TV foray, so I haven't succumbed completely).

Anyway, the absolute top contender voice-wise happens to be a overweight unattractive African American woman with razzed up hair. My wife and I love her.

Anyway, she's been kicked off the show due to revelations that she appeared topless on an adult website a few years ago. Well, at first you may say that is an understandable rule. But remember, this is Fox. Last year, one of the top 3 finalists (Nikki? I don't know the names) was a STRIPPER. And the show knew about it. But she wasn't kicked off. But she was hot.

Looks like a double standard. Maybe this sounds a bit like a conspiracy theory, but maybe they didn't want an ugly girl to be the American Idol??

I don't watch the show and really don't care, but it may have had something to do with the fact that Davis posed topless on "Daddy's Little Girls," a web site that purported to feature naked underage girls (which, of course, would be illegal). However, at the time she posed for these photos, Davis was over 18.

I don't know if the pedophile contection could have had anything to do with it. Although, if the site was legal, I don't see much difference between this and stripping, morally speaking. But the idea that it pandered to pedophile wanta-be's would probably make any TV exec nervous.
