My Air Force gets shot out of the sky almost immediately. Rush building Spitfies in 3 cities with airports to keep up with the attrition.
Yerushalayim is pretty self sufficient, I don’t really need to clear the road there, as it will be tough taking the Palestinian fortresses on the roads. Latrun is a town on a hill, so I’m also going to hold off on that.
Asqalan in the Gaza Strip, I really want to take for historical purposes, but I need to wait until I clear the Egyptians from the south. Further ambitious is to take back Beersheba and Bir Asluj way down south.
Realistically I think I can grab more West Bank territory though, as the Palestinians have slightly weaker units than the rest of the Arab forces. I’m looking at Tulkarm, which would really help out my Workers, but I’m also looking at Janin which is on Plains terrain, so easier to capture.
Damascus is tantalizingly close to our border, but that seems to be a big stretch as I’d have to go around the Golan Heights. Perhaps Amman would be a legitimate target as the terrain is more suitable for travel. But we’ll see!!
Week 41
North - Syrian attacks on the Tiberias and Godot fronts, but I won’t let that distract me, I’m going for Janin as I have more available Tank units nearby. 3 Tank, 2 Inf and 3 Arty units cross in the West Bank from the north and head towards Janin!
With no new techs to research, all Gold is going to the War Effort and I am getting +217 per turn!
Lebanese have encroached the area between Akko and Zefat. They appear headed towards Nazareth, They have also set up Artillery that can reach Akko. Jordan sends an occasional Tank to try and capture the lightly defended VP spot, but I have an Arty unit blasting anyone who gets close! The Iraqis are silent except for the bombardment of Tel-Aviv from the air.
South - Egyptians are continually pounding Tel-Aviv and lots of city improvements have been destroyed along with the population!! Total war is how they’re gonna do this!
Week 42
20 more turns to go!
Central - Janin is captured from the north, killing 4 Palestinian units!!
Also captured a Worker, which is immediately sent to work on the railroads. I think the Palestinians are about to collapse in the West Bank, going for Tulkarm in the next turn if possible!
South - Really big force of 19 Egyptian units suddenly appear in the southern border in a single stack, with the additional 11 scattered Egyptian units. If these new units still head toward Tel-Aviv, it will give me some time to bombard along the way and set up a defense by the time they get there. So not to concerned.
Week 43
North - The Lebanese have now moved a stack of 4 Arty units near Akko and hitting us on every turn. Some of their units have made it all the way to Tiberias, time to hit them with our Arty!!
Central - 4 Tank and 3 Infantry units are sent to the forest tile outside of Tulkarm. They are backed up by 3 Arty units 2 tiles back in Israeli territory, which can hit Tulkarm from there.
The aerial bombardment consists of 2 or 3 Air units from each Syrian, Jordan and Iraqi nations, then come the +/- 10 Egyptian Air units to finish it off. They’ve now switch to bombarding Yerushalayim.
Week 44
Central- 6 Palestinian units killed in Tulkarm with only 2 losses and the city is ours!!
-A bunch of Iraqi units were apparently outside of the city, so we’ll have to take care of them as well. And now a big Jordanian force is heading towards the town.
North - Huge Syrian attack on Godot leads to 2 losses. Still have 3 defenders which I will reinforce.
South - lost a Ghafir in Tel-Aviv as the Egyptian Tank units reach the city a lot faster than I thought they would! Going to send all of my West Bank conquering forces to the south to destroy the Egyptian force once and for all!!
Week 45
North - Wiped out the majority of Syrian units near Godot, I need to go after the Lebanese in Akko next!
-Nevermind, the Syrians are still pouring in from Al Qunaytirah!
Central - I reinforce Tulkarm to have a total of 4 units, moved most of my Tanks out to heal in Netanya which has a Barrack. The Arab Air Force destroyed the railroad next to Netanya linking up the country, so need to repair that fast, as I can’t move my units south to reinforce.
-Combined Palestinian and Jordanian attack on Tulkarm resulted in 3 lost units, almost lost the town completely!
Jordanians also attacked Janin with Al-Quds Relief Force Guerrilla units. Quite a number of Palestinians now moving towards Herzliyya.
South - I have 3 Arty units in Yerushalayim which I used to continually pound the Palestinians in the fortress located in the middle of the Ashdod-Yerushalayim road till they were down to 1 HP and now sent in my units to take over the fortress linking up the south, albeit still with a heavy Egyptian presence!
-Big battle in Tel-Aviv as I lost 2 units here, I have around 5 units fortified here though and the major Egyptian force is still further south, they have also split some units towards Qalqiliya.
Week 46
North - Jordan finally takes over the VP spot near Bet Shean, as 3 units were lost. Battle for Godot continues against the Syrians.
Central - Lebanese send 2 units via the sea to land outside of Netanya. Loads of Palestinians surround Herzliyya and Qalqiliya. Big battles outside of Tulkarm.
South - Egyptian units attack Tel-Aviv and Ashdod.
Overall, I am starting to worry about potentially getting overrun by the Arab forces on every front! I’ve lost many Tank units and need to replenish them. VP is 40,500 to 29,545, so I think I’ve got this game won, but certainly want to finish it off with some strength! Still feel like I need to make the push to Asqalan in Gaza before the game is finished!
Week 47
North - take back the VP spot near Bet Shean and reinforce with 3 units as there are still Jordanian Tanks nearby.
In the Akko front, the Lebanese have 7 Inf escorts guarding their 4 Arty units, I just can’t spare a bunch of units to take them out, so I’m just going to have to live with the continuos bombardment. If the next Flintlock Mod update has the old PTW arty style, I would definitely be forced to take them out!
-Lebanese start sending units to attack Akko. VP spot
Central - Palestinian attacks on Qualqiya. Iraq and Jordan with a combined attack on Tulkarm.
South - Big Egyptian Arty stack now pounding units in Ashdod. We suffered a huge defeat at the VP fortress in the Ashdod-Yerushalayim road as 2 Inf and 3 Arty units were lost, as well as the VP spot!
Week 48
North - Lost 2 units in Akko, that front is now getting dangerous as more Lebanese troops are attacking after their Artillery barrage.
Godot is still holding on strong against the Syrians though! Can’t build any Walls in Godot, as it gets destroyed by the Syrian Arty immediately. But we have a bunch of Elite defenders there now, which will be tough for the Syrians to defeat.
South - retook the VP spot and placed an Elite Hagannah unit there. It was immediately blasted by Egyptian Arty and destroyed. I don’t have any more units to send as Yerushalayim needs all of its defenders now.
Week 49
North - The fighting in Akko is not going well at all, had to move Arty and Inf units from Godot to replenish my losses here. I’ve got 5 units in each of these cities now.
Central - I'm slowly but surely pushing the Palestinians, Iraqis and Jordanians away from this area through a collection of hardened Elite Tank units!!
-Wait nevermind a Massive Jordanian stack is now approaching Tulkarm. 24 units total including 5 Arty.
South - I have a total 8 defenders in Ashdod now fighting off probing attacks, as long as they sending the Egyptians up the Tel-Aviv road, I can pick them off!
-Palestinians launching attacks on Yerushalayim.
There are now 5 Egyptian Arty units bombarding Ashdod. But the majority of the Egyptians are still headed to Tel-Aviv.
