i posted the text files on 2 previous posts and put misc. art files (buildings, leaderheaders, etc) and those 2 huge unit files. i also posted a unit file specifically for you (the units you did not have).

1 more thing, as i playtested w/ a few different civs (n vietnam, s vietnam, pathet lao and us), i've noticed that the US AI won't transport any units over to the mainland. so, i played around with it a little. screenshot will follow later today.

the biq can not find the main folder with the units. the main folder is VNWbeta and the biq is looking for a folder named Vietnam War.
 
I have not played yet it keeps erroring and I do not feel like fixing it;)
 
well, i'm thinking that my internet explorer problem may have contributed to the problems you all are having DLing the files. let me see if i can upload them again on to x drive now that my connection has been restored. note that i added 'Escorted Worker'. this is the only unit that can build 'highway'. so, updated text files (in the 'VNWBeta' foler) should be used, not the ones i posted the other day.

below is a screenshot of both the 'highway' graphics through the editor and a 'road' linking the the 4 amer. cities to the mainland. not sure if this is a viable option. but it will ensure that US forces, particularly the US AI, will make dashes for the vp points and fight off n vietnamese units. we all know of the AI's pathetic trackrecord of NOT transporting troops over water:mad:

not sure if we can put highway on the water. the highway from the amer. cities to the mainland is only one tile wide. so, it's not as if the AI will bumrush the road leading to the Amer cities. besides, we don't even have to use that version. you know, just stick w/ what we have. :p

but, we could have 2 different versions of the scen (2 biq files) w/ the normal one (no highway to the amer cities, good for those who wish to play as the US) and the highway version for players who will not play as the US (so the US AI moves units onto the mainland). these are just thoughts i've come up w/ after playtesting for the last week or so.
 
now i'm uncertain as to what the problem may be for you. they DL'ed ok for me. they are in 'winzip' format, the only compression utility that i have on my computer. what compression/decompression utility do you use? and yes, the files are huge. but what can we do? i don't think i reposted the unit graphics you're missing. just units1_04_25_04 & units2_04_25_04.
