you can upload up to 3 mb on the server or pm Thunderfall and he will give a ftp server with up to 100mb space.

ps i really like the looks of this mod and if you guys need any help or some to help test pm me

i can give you access to a private file storage site that i have stored the beta files on if you'd like to playtest the scenario. it's completion is ver near. just a few kinks to knock out. that's all.
 
thats not too bad, the mod i made and have been trying to upload is 70 mb. I have dialup and i disconnect every 5 min while uploading I have alot easier time downloading for somereason. Anyway Ill dl it as soon as possible, probally wont have time to play until this weekend though.

ps just out of curiousity where is estado?

wow. that's big (70mbs). dialup? you poor soul. i remember those days;) . i am probably in the same boat as you w/ finals this week and next week so my playtesting will be very limited until the middle of next week.

esatdo is spanish for 'state'...El Jardin Estado=The Garden State or New Jersey (Atlantic City area)

let us know how the DL/playtesting goes
 
Are you allowing armies? and if so have you done anything about the ai not using them enough if at all. Maybe its just me but I think its a huge advantage for us. I made a few changes in my mod to help balance. I removed the needs victorous army flag from military academy and increased army support to 5 cities. I might add creates army every 30 turns to the palace if that still isnt enough
 
well, i think that the military academy builds an NVA Division (army w/ 3 transport capacity) evey 20 turns and, obviously, can only be built (the unit, not the building) by the n vietnamese by way of a required resource (whales i think, changed it from sea tiles to grassland and put it under a n vietnamese city). not sure if the AI will use them correctly. may have to change it and let the mil aca. produce a unit w/ extra HPs to represent a 3 man infantry. also, the NVA Infantry is the only n vietnamese unit with the 'load' flag. so, other n viet. units won't be able to load into the army.
no army units are available to any of the other civs. too powerful IMHO.
 
Sounds good, and I totally agree armies are totally overpowered. If I can survive till the modern age I will slaughter the AI everytime with a couple MA armies and a horde of artillery, which the AI also doesnt use well. Anyway Ill post on Sunday after Ive gotten a chance to play.

Instead of wasting so much time on the DL problem, can't you mail me the BIQ so I can just see on the work.Have you finished the placement of units?And you know my email adress?

OK. it won't be until later today/tonight however. units are placed and i've playtested just about all of them (except for Escorted Worker, the highway building dude who is buildable only by the US and SV after adv motorized transp. is discovered). i've also corrected the negative gold problem by giving irrigated grassland tiles extra commerce. it seems to have worked. i've also adjusted the techs so that it is a minimum 10 turns to research and a maximum of 20 (i think). i also adjusted the massive population explosion that occurs in many of the s vietnamese coastal cities. Da Nang was like a size 32 after 15 turns or so!! i simply added 'disease' to grassland to keep the cities from growing too fast. Not to be confused w/ 'pollution', disease prevents cities from growing too fast and it seems to have worked. i'd like to clean up the civilopedia entries and the .pcx lg and small pics of the units. seems like 'princess - small' and 'princess - large' pcx's are used for many of the custom units. i'll see if i can use existing pcx pics for these as to not add any more to the huge size. that's about it. a little playtesting by Osubaker and we may be ready to post it in the other forum.
 
i guess it could be adjusted some (tech research time). but i think we should try and keep it so that the final tech that a civ researches is at least somewhere near the end of the scenario (121 turns i think).
