we're going to have to sort out all of the folders and all of graphics so we don't have a mess. i can't get this done for a few more days b/c of school constraints  . so if you want to get it going, great!

While trying to get the scenario working I put together alot of the folders so I guess I can go ahead and finish that. I also reduced the amount of american cities, while boosting thier production, trying to make the map look a little neater, though im not sure it made much of a difference.

And about balance, do you think the americans are overpowered?

Dont you think oil should show up in the beginning?? By 1965 we had been using it for a long time
What about changing the dialogue of the advisors to something more vietnam relevant. Like the VC military advisor could something like ummm "Lets teach those gringos a lesson!!" .....Well you get the idea anyway.

how bout a screenshot? it's easy to do. go into the editor, zoom out a little, and hit the 'Print Screen' button on your keyboard. it's at the top right corner on my keyboard. then, minimize or close out of the editor and open 'MS Paint' or a similar program. go to Edit, then paste. it'll paste the image you took when you hit 'Print Screen'. make sure you save it as a jpeg so it can be uploaded onto cfc.

"overpowered?"
do you mean overpowering? i don't think that the US is overpowered b/c of their tremendous firepower. if anything, they're very overpowering, as was the case during the real war. but, like the scenario, there are no real clear objectives for the US other than VP locations. btw, we should probably focus in on the VP scoring before we post it. for example, VP pts should be the determining factor for victory for the US, that is, to keep the commies out of s vietnam. we should add extra VP pts for units killed/destroyed. what do you guys think?

VP points are a good idea

What do you think about the custom text idea?

well, the US can usually cream any of the opposing units. maybe make the US units more expensive to build?

VP's are crucial for this scenario and i like the custom text idea. i'd say to go ahead and play around with it some and post it. but remember that there are locked alliances and permanent states of war where they'll always 'refuse our envoy' and not even get to the diplomacy screen. check your pm btw

As usual I can't open or unzip the files from xdrive.Could you upload them on the CFC server and post them here?

Did some playtesting yesterday.I sent one fully loaded MLC from the four cities to a good place. The two on the upper side of the highway to some places near N vietnam and the two on the down side of the highway to some places further down for fighting through Thailand to N Vietnam.I didn't do so much, but I did it on "my own way".:)

And yeah.Maybe tomorrow I'm going to start a new thread about this scenario.

i'm not sure what your DL/unzipping problems are. which files are you missing? you seem to have all that is needed to run the scenario. no? i can try and post whatever you're missing. i played around in the biq a little more w/ unit cost and A/D values. here's a list of what is changed for version 1.6:
Green Beret: took away 'see invisible' and left it solely to Mech Combat Eng. & raised cost from 95-225
F100 SS: raised cost from 100 to 250
F4: raised cost from 85 to 275
heavy MG: 95 to 180
napalm bomber: from 110 to 400
cobra: 110 to 250
huey: 110 to 200
marine: 120 to 180
GI: 110 to 180 and also lowered Def valeu from 14 to 12
mech landing craft: from 100 to 300. the AI was constantly building these but not using them:confused:
Carrier: omitted from the build que
destroyer: raised from 120 to 400 for cost
M107: 110 to 150
Patton: 110 to 275
B52: 120 to 350
escorted worker: 50 to 150
S Korean INf: changed A/D from 6/12 to 8/10
Heavy Artillery: made it 1A and 3D
NLF Inf: raised A/D from 8/6 to 9/9
NVA Inf: +1 A to 8
Vietcong: changed from 9A/6D to 9/9

also deleted were the test units for the americans (phantoms, napalm bombers and cobras)...i added a few more roads around the HCM Trail to make it easy for mvmt, etc. the unit cost changes with the A/D alterations could balance it out some.

i think that's it

You said that the icon art pack was containing all the civpedia icons. And I don't know exactly which, but it had been nice to have all.And then the problem is that I can't open the files from xdrive. So could you just upload the artpack on the CFC server so I can download it and open it.

EDIT:If not then you just can post the building icons Osu.I'm thinking.......You can just post the building icons Osubaker.:)
