Science & Technology Quiz

Aphex, thanks! With your new questions validated, I now have enough questions to launch a "hard" science quiz :D
However, you have exhausted the astronomy question quota for a while - I need to keep a balance between the different fields ;)

What about a separate astronomy quiz?

Definitely possible, if I get enough astronomy questions. I just created two Astronomy categories: a "general" and a "pure" one. Questions in the general category will appear in the science quiz, questions in the pure category will appear in a new astronomy quiz *if* I get enough astronomy questions submitted.

Edit: I just moved all the science questions related to astronomy in the new "General Astronomy" section. There are 9 of them. Twenty are needed for a quiz.

After feeling humiliated by only scoring 15 in the standard, I took the hard and scored 20.
When I have patience, I'll submit some questions to you kinniken, probably about Physics mainly (I'm a physicist). :)

Until I have more S & T questions, taking it twice is bound to get you lots of repeated questions... STill, a 20 is impressive :)
As for physic questions, that would be great! Even a few would be cool - there are only two right now I believe.

Well Aphex, if you still want an Astronomy quiz, what about submitting some more questions? At least eight more are needed for a standard quiz ;)

I can come up with lots of Physics questions, Kinniken - its my job. ;)

Please do, Mister Professor! :)

The only thing I ask is for you to try and ask a broad range of questions, from questions answerable by a layman with a passing interest in physics to questions requiring solid basis in physics.

The question below should be about the upper limit of difficulty, more or less:

What is the greatest number of electrons that can fit into the first electron shell (also called an energy level)?

It requires either having studied physics recently, or reading scientific articles regularly, and not just dumbed-down ones. To a physic teacher though, it must sound trivial ;)

Update: I just added a "custom quiz" category. Using it, you can specify exactly the type of questions you want, by category, difficulty and geographic zones.
Remember though that the question database is not endless, and that it is unlikely that you will get many questions if you ask for "History of Technology questions with a difficulty of 1 concerning Black Africa" ;)

I do not wish to sound impatient, mister professor, but did you come up with those physics questions? :mischief:

Kinniken I think it might be appropriate to remind col to pose questions that he has answers to. We are not here to help answer questions from his latest grant :)

I've submitted a few questions - and I'll ignore that remark, sami.
