Playing Cossacks II: Napoleonic wars, battle for europe (risk game) with Egypt, I took all of western Europe (including Britain), this is the battle of Warsaw (Poland), Egypt sucks because they almost have none rifle infantry, most are melee, you also have archers, and those who have guns (Jannisaries) suck using them, but they are good at hand to hand combat so I just charge the enemy with the camels and then the infantry and they run for their lives

I played it for a time on Vista but win7 doesn't appear to support it.

7 supports it, I play it on 7, but you cant play online via gameranger, it cant launch the game because of the gadgets or color scheme, it crashes right away.

Grantham continues to grow and now has over 100k inhabitants. I've now got a couple of extra industrial areas surrounded by trees which support less polluting industries.

@ Dell: Is that a small-tile city? Bravo! Turning a tiny city like that into a bustling metro... I'd be curious to see what you could do with a large city!

Speaking of SimCity4:

Liberty City's Alongquin district progresses wonderfully, with the beginnings of high-rises. The city as a whole numbers 40,000 individuals.

Alderney (New Jersey) supports much of the commuter base, with many Algonquin citizens taking subways that go beneath the West River into Alderney, which at the moment is just a big industrial dump with a few shacks.

The mayor has established two Libraries, and at last, a City Court has been established close to City Hall.

Chinatown was originally a small neighborhood, but the Mayor was made that it wasn't Chinese at all, so he burned down half the neighborhood to make room for the "Living Mall," which does have a Chinese theme. Said mall boomed commercial growth in the region.

While not visible, Liberty's airstrip on the far eastern edges of the Dukes/Broker island has been built and supplies contact with the outside world. While the move caused the city to start running a deficit (until the mayor cut the bloated airport budget, of course), the amount in the vault has continued to increase without loans. Whenever economic times seemed dire, a plane would write all sorts of crap in the sky, crime would skyrocket, and the city suddenly had cash again. While some saw the Mayor as possibly being in bed with organised crime elements, they were quickly silenced by the sweet taste of free money.

Police coverage remains scarce, but education has seen a boom in the form of libraries. People above age 40 tend to have an IQ of 160, compared to the 100s of their younger counterparts. High tech industry is starting to decimate the dirty industry, which has begun to move to Alderney accordingly.

The rich have petitioned for a country club. The Mayor states it should be on Happiness Island(Ellis Island), which is planned to become the reception center for all immigrants into the city.

Two libraries in a city with 40 000 people which is that size? I would have probably put in nearly ten libraries by then. :p

EDIT: Why the hell is your casino on a separate piece of land on the edge of the map? It would be awesome in a place with lots of commerce!

That's quite normal. Even my size 190,000 city needed only 3 libraries.

Indeed. The crime increase is global, so it doesn't matter where it is. It does boost Commerce though, as west india man said.
