Secret Hitler

I don't know, getting three fascist cards is rare enough that it's too risky to try and lie about it.
That might depend on the makeup of the policy deck. If the split is 50/50 liberal/fascist, then the chances are only 1 in 8 of getting 3 of the same faction policies in a single draw, ignoring the previously discarded policies.

ASSUMPTIONS BEGIN HERE
If we assume for a second the social policy deck makeup is 50/50 and that everyone is telling the truth about the policies they have seen, there have been 2 liberal and 4 fascist policies drawn by the presidents. That should make the liberal policies more common in future draws, and any additional claims of "I received 3 fascist policies" should be immediately flagged as suspect.

Odds make that 3-fascist policies in a single hand on hand 2 are SLIGHTLY up, since only a single one was drawn in the first hand, while 2 liberal policies were drawn, making liberal representation slightly lower for future draws.
But conversely, the number of fascist policies will be reduced due to their early over-representation.
END ASSUMPTIONS

Anyway, nothing happens. Snek is the next presidential candidate. Nominate your chancellor, former chancellor, and then the people will have 48 hours to vote.
OK, did some rereading, and now I am wondering why we are voting on SouthernKing's ticket. Shouldn't it be Snerk nominating a chancellor?

Snek is SK, not Snerk, Double A is just being weird about his names

Snek is the nickname SK has in IOT, because he pretends to be a literal snake on chat.

this is incorrect.

The standard policy deck for Secret Hitler is 6 liberal and 11 fascist. I drew 2 libs and a fascist, and Reus claims he drew three fascists. Assuming everyone told the truth, the actual composition of the deck right now is 4 liberals and 7 fascists.

Or Choxon as I like to call him.

Chox on, chox off...

That is very important to know. Thanks for the info.

I'm going to have to say

Ja rule

I'm obviously liberal. You can tell by how I love turning a blind eye to corruption in government whenever "my people" are in charge. I think Choxorn is a fascist because he thinks differently from me and everyone knows that if someone thinks differently than a liberal than that means they're a fascist.

No ur a fascist

This was an astoundingly close election. 5 to 4, Germany elects a literal snake as president, and its former first female president as chancellor.

Ja! - Omega124, Reus, SouthernKing, Takhisis, lulz2
Nein! - choxorn, Yakostovian, Snerk, KaiserElectric
Getting replaced with @Arakhor - Crezth

What are the phases for this game?

translates to...

What are the steps for this game?

Voting phase - The next president in line nominates a chancellor. There are always 48 hours for this phase, though typically a bit more due to my terrible sleep schedule.
President phase - President draws three policy cards, discards one, and gives them to me to give to the chancellor. They have 24 hours to do so, but it usually happens in a few minutes and then I advance on to the next phase.
Chancellor phase - Chancellor discards a policy card and enacts the other one. Also 24 hours but usually a few minutes.
Fascism bonus phase - Only happens when a fascist power is unlocked by passing the second or more fascist policy, otherwise is skipped. If this happens the president has up to 48 hours to pick a target for the power. There will be public discussion of this.
After the guberment phases, it goes back to voting. I recommend checking the thread once a day any time after, I dunno, 4pm EST, because if I'm posting an update it'll be up by then. Every other day around then would be the bare minimum.

A liberal policy has been enacted! That makes two out of five. @Takhisis is the next candidate, nominate your lap cat so we can get on with this.

See how fast that was? It was super fast.

I was given a liberal and a fascist. I chose liberal. I hope this confirms everyone of my liberalness, seeing I was the common denominator of both liberal policies being passed. I also am personally convinced SK is a liberal, given that he likely could have given me two fascists and chose not to.

Tak, my suggestion for you, is nominate someone other than reus or arakhor. We need to spread the infomation out through our nominations, because we're a bit overcentralized in who was allowed to be in government. Chox is my personal read on the most liberal individual who has yet to serve government. I would avoid Snerk and Luiz; those are the two who I am pointing my finger of doubt towards. Snerk for actively trying to encourage anti-meta play, and Luiz for doing the classic "act as scummy as possible to hide the fact you're actually scum". I don't know enough to say conclusively that they are fascists, but I would consider them atm the most likely candidates.

Wait, is the nomination public or is it private?

<snip>

Also Choxorn voted to oppose the government that enacted a liberal policy and I was the deciding vote to support a government that enacted a liberal policy

Having just been subbed in, I can now confirm that during Crezth's tenure, he was passed one fascist and one liberal policy and chose to implement the liberal policy.

Hehehehe, we can finally accuse the mods of being Nazis. :)
