Right, writing this as I go - pics to be added after optimisation.
1100AD (IHT): Not a lot of military builds going on here, but a few things about to finish - I want enough mounted units to be able to take the Incan border towns of Ollantaytambo and Machu Picchu (only 2 defenders each) straight after we declare war, and obviously some more units to back them up afterwards. Great Library's going in Beijing, the only city with any GPP output worth mentioning.
1105AD (Turn 1):
Revolt to Theocracy since we're about to finish some military builds and want the extra experience. Guangzhou completes market for an extra 6gpt, switches to horse archer.
A source of silver near Good Enough! Amazing. I was wanting to put a road on that tile anyway, to help get into Incan territory faster, so it's not even going to waste worker turns
1110 AD (2):
Euclid and Heron born far away. Otherwise, boring turn.
1115 AD (3):
Cho in Good Enough -> Catapult (need to remove that defence bonus). Promote Cho to Drill II for 3-4 first stikes
Euclid seems to be heading for Machu Picchu for some reason - getting an academy off Huayana would be nice
1120 AD (4):
w00t! GL in Beijing! Straight away that shaves two turns off Music and bumps our GPP/turn to 15. The game recommends National Epic as a next build, and I'm sorely tempted, but decide to build a catapult first, probably followed by another unit, but the Epic should go in there after that - it's an incredible national wonder.
Angle Lighthouse -> Catapult, Good Enough Cat -> Cat.
Monty's back in the south. No matter, it frees that HA from barb spotting and we can clear it later (I suggest razing, it's not very well positioned really).
1125 AD (5):
Beijing Cat -> HA, Guangzhou HA -> HA, Ironchou Granary -> Lighthouse
1135 AD (6):
Realise I've messed up the dates on these turns. Meh. Anyway, Huayana comes wanting our iron for his silk - tell him to shove it. Telling the enemy you've no iron just before they attack you is NOT a good idea.
1145 AD (7):
Christianity spreads in Tlacopan (Aztec city in the south of our lands) - Monty must be really compressed if he's only got to Tlacopan in the city list.
Good Enough Cat -> Cho. Start preparations for war, moving units toward the border.
1150 AD (8):
Mansa comes after Open Borders. After some thought, I decline - it might annoy him, but I'd rather not have his units wandering through our land after Monty. Next thing I know, they've made peace. Meh.
1155 AD (9):
Now he wants to trade spices for our gold - sounds good to me, and might improve relations a bit.
Angle Cat -> Barracks
Beijing HA -> National Epic
Guangzhou HA -> War Elephant (we know the Inca have no iron, ergo no pikes)
The battle lines are drawn, and I go for it:
North:
South:
1160 AD (10):
Music comes in, and Homer is born in Beijing. suggest we use him to CB Machu Picchu as soon as it's taken, reinforcing our culture and ending the resistance - to that end, I move him south. As instructed, research begun on CoL.
Machu Picchu falls - cats bombard to half defences, then Cho kills archer (love those first strikes) and sword kills spearman. Nice and easy! forgot to take a pic, I was too excited
A scouting Horse Archer (who I failed to give Sentry to due to a misclick. D'oh!) spots Cuzco. Not hugely defended, but nowhere for us to stand with a defence bonus next to it. Oh well. Looking at the southern lands, Homer might be best used in Texcoc after all - leave that for the next player to decide.
No action in the north, but the army is now next to the city, so next turn or the one after might see another one in our hands. w00t!
A few monasteries and Christian missionaries might be a good idea - the science boost is nice (and they can only be built before Sci Method) and we're not on Org Rel any more, and need to spread the faith around these new lands.
Good luck whoever's next up.
