Sorry Deckhand, but the key of my proposed wording are the 2 rows in red:Not yet, but soon.
I have two problems with this wording.
i) Theoretically you could win the Laurel by only completing objective #5 (if no other teams completed any objectives) - so, stating "provided you complete #1, #2 and #3." is incorrect.
ii) Because of all the discussion (not sure if there is really any confusion about this, but there has been a lot of discussion), I think it is important to include the note that satisfying #4 fulfills #5 and satisfies two objectives.
The way you proposed is IMHO as confusing as the official (ATM) one.
Actually, re-reading all the game description, you can understand clearly what is needed for the laurels from this paragraph:
Unfortunately the paragraph i quoted and i'm proposing to change, instead of clarify the one i quoted right above puts confusion, due to the lack of my 2 "red" rows.
The requested FR civic as soon as you get Lib is also missing in that list.
I suggest to keep only one list and not two. Less words, less discussions and less misinterpretations.

And since...
...the teams are likely to put their collective heads together and say "hey, gang. You know what? Let's not go for a Domination win this time around, ok? Let's try for one of the options listed under 4). That way we can achieve five objectives instead of four and surely win SGOTM 18!"

Full marks to kcd_swede for politeness. I am about to unsubscribe from this thread. It's getting really irritating.
I agree that this "debate" ran into the ground some time ago. You all know what you have to do to win this game. Please let's just get on with it. If anyone has any uncertainty, please take it up with kcd_swede in a private message.
