Can somebody calculate our tech rate for the next 15 turns with our Great Scientist bulbs and T146 trade mission?

If we have to slow down our teching to wait for Engineering, maybe we can squeeze in Optics without slowing down Sushi?

The goal is to bulb Biology complete when we get the last Great Scientist on T149.

We also need to figure out walking great merchant to Silver City by T150 if it is born in Profit on T139.

We also need a sushi spreading plan for T151 and beyond.

There is no point getting fast sushi if the executives have to walk to Science City the hard way because we did not have a galley for them.

Actually there could be another chance. If Peter gets another great scientist( would be his 2nd or 3rd?), he may choose to bulb optics. He doesn't have paper yet.

That was because compass is too cheap to bulb I think. Maybe optics too. I don't remember seeing an AI bulbing a paper. It has the same price as optics.

A bulletproof argument to do Optics after Gunpowder.

Did you know Caravels can carry Corporate Executives?
It does not say it in the description, but they can according to the test game.
Walked the exec straight on to the Caravel myself.

Spoiler :

The idea is simple.
Put a Caravel with circumnavigation bonus (+1) 2S1E of Silver City.
When the 1st Sushi exec comes out of Silver City, move it to the caravel and sail for Cow City.
The next turn, unload Sushi exec in Cow City, walk it to our capital with Engineering bonus, and spread to Science City!

Spoiler :

Just need a Fort (13 turns) on that forest 3W1N of Cow City.
And a Road 1S of Silver City.

Who cares if Sushi is 1 or 2 turns slower to be founded if we can spread it to our capital in a single turn?
With 50% whipping bonus, our capital can then spread sushi like crazy.

Optics is 936
Gunpowder is at 1275/1872 with a 1.4 multiplier.

I think we can barely do Gunpowder -> Optics in 2 turns even with golden age ending.

So I think we can stick to the plan of revolting to Nationhood this turn T135, and then we go back to Bureau between T140 to T142.

I think we will probably want to stay in Nationhood til 147. We could consider not taking it til 140-142, that's debatable.
But it'd be nice to draft in the cities that need to do a GS yet. Clams, Canal. even Silver & Whales. After all, Kait just pointed out how fast they can get to our capital.

We probably won't spread sushi Silver -> Science tho, cus we don't want Science to do all the whipping. Just 1 exec is enough burden.
But I do like the fort idea. That still gets us spread to Cows in 1t.
But where does the caravel come from?

so, back the question of Nationhood 135. We probably want to get some Muskets walking. The big war question for me is:
Can we DoW and not suffer anger and not ruin the GP plan?
Or should we do what LC said and try to get Optics from SB? If we have to suffer thru longbows, why not load SB up with more tech? Sadly that's MC, Machinery, Compass, Feudal, just to hope for Optics.
Then he'll pick Alpha, so we'd have to give that. Ugh.

I someone can tell me we won't get angry, I think I want to try to choke SB. We could really use 100g from conquer 1 city + pillage.

What turn do we expect to win?

One consideration is completing conquest in time. We don’t want to start too late. (Another reason to get Optics asap.)

Some fun facts:
1) If we give MC, Mach, CS, Nationalism to SB, we can get another turn of anarchy by putting him in Nationhood, where he can only draft warriors.
1b) We'd want to use Nationalism to bribe Peter to war with SB so SB doesn't trade it to him.
1c) one drawback is SB can (will) build Triremes
1d) another advantage is the nationhood switch would prevent him from going back to slavery for 5t.

2) I don't see where we'd suffer any anger, so war might be the way to go.

3) we lose the civic bonus with Peter for 12 turns. Maybe doesn't matter.

Win turn? maybe 210?

I think we can get 100-150g out of SB by simply trading tech for gold the next 10 turns. So, let's give up our opportunity to break him pre-longbow.
Don't we get the most $$ if he has large pop? So let's put him in Caste + gold + HBR (maybe archery too? for Horse Archers) Would WFYABTA ever be a problem?

Get the GS plan over with so we're back in slavery and can do war better/safer. The traditional way, with trebs on the high culture cities.

And I don't think we can wait for him to finally pick Optics and then research it 10 turns later.
If it wasn't required for Medicine, we could wait for it.
Let's just do optics. Then our caravel has time to circumnav and return to SB.
Our galleys can get moving.
