[BTS] SGOTM 26 - Home Slices

We might even be able to do T109 Oxford if we skip the temple
Yes, this might be better...
We have time after Confu miss's to prep a temple ~75/80 and NOT whip it. (or a missionary? etc.)
T106 temple
T107 Univ 42/200
T108 whip uni
T109 chop Oxford complete? or maybe still T110, but we saved 2 pop.

How are we chopping oxford complete before border pop?
Bring over Heretic to chop that northern forest into Oxford?

Ohh, I think I see
Only 4 out of 5 forests are outside of borders.
Those 5 get us about 255/400.
Big overflow whip gets us to about 390.
Completing a natural overflow before uni whip gets us over 400.

Haha, ya that works.
Very early Oxford considering 1 bulb :)

5 turns of caste?
Ohhh, nice :D

I'll try to update the plan later.

I'm back. New mission objective received: optimize production and chop for Oxford.
T97-T100 100% Paper
WT is right about this. After angry citizens go back to work, paper can be done in 3 turns with scientists in capital back to farms and pasture.
T95 - T96 Road Cow so we can trade it to Peter
MosCOW has a roaded cow in the SE.

Profit City
T97 - Lighthouse
T98 - Wealth (work whale)
T99 - Maoi Statues (work stone)
T100 - T102 Confu Monastery
T103 - Anarchy
T104 - T105 monastery (try to get 22/60:hammers:)
Now profit has 14/24f. By working on whale T97, it will get to pop3 at T99. If we adopt the 5t caste plan, it will have exactly 23h in monastery(because Org religion comes 1 turn earlier) So before switching need to give up working on stone for 1 turn to get 20h/60

The odds of that fogged tile on the southeastern side of Peter's island going south are microscopic.
Okay. Blood is on my hands.

Those 3 cottages will be better than 3 farms right
2 extra food=1 scientist?

To-do list
1 double chech if Edu can be completed at T106
2 temple natural overflow into uni or Oxford?
if temple of into Oxford, it will take 5 turns to build the temple(need to wait for education). 2 turns on uni which gives exactly 42/200h 1 turn to whip uni. Oxford is completed at T111.
if OF into uni, It'll take 4 turns on temple. OF into uni=4+ missionary overflow. 1 turn on uni and whip uni at T108. If there is enough chop hammer T109, Oxford can be completed in this turn. will check it later.
attaching updated PPP draft
pre-chop for Oxford/ science city build list are still incomplete

I got a headache doing math last night, so I took an hour to update the test game one last time to Turn 95 (500BC).
Note that Canal City will net its last seafood on T103.
Spoiler :

The game will resolve to easy playing without so much micro soon I hope.
We only have 7 cities! X_x

With Organized Religion (+25%:hammers: for buildings in cities with Confuscian religion) starting T103, we just have to keep in mind whipping thresholds:

Monastery 2-pop whip (22/60:hammers: max) :whipped:
Temple 3-pop whip (4/80:hammers: max)
Library 3-pop whip (14/90:hammers: max)
Courthouse 4-pop whip (7/120:hammers: max)

In our capital with Org. Religion + Bureau bonus, the limit for University as WT noted is:
University in capital 4-pop whip (42/200:hammers: max)

Gah! How did I not notice Moocow before?
Ok, roading our Cow Tile fast is no longer a big priority. :goodjob:

It is so very annoying that all we can trade to Peter is Rice and Fur (2 resources), and the 1st is only because we are getting an extra from Sitting Bull.
It will take 50 turns to get +2 resources with Peter at this rate.

**Edit**
Oh :o
Let's see, Peter's estimated tech rate.

Alphabet will cost Emperor Peter 372:science:

Moscow (Library): +3 from trade route to us. +8 from palace +1 from tile
Sheep, Cow, Horse, Silver, Coast? = +7
+19 commerce

No, it's just 50 turns total. So with Fur, it's only about 20 turns more.

With 2 resources (Fur + Rice), we get +1 relations with Peter every 25 turns for a max of +2 after 50 turns.

With 5 resources, it would be +1 after 10 turns and +2 after 20 turns.

No way we can do without Stone.

Ya, a gem trade would be helpful.
Shared resources builds +1 every 50 resource-turns to a max of +2

Now profit has 14/24f. By working on whale T97, it will get to pop3 at T99.
This looks like a great idea.
We need food if we are going to get a 3-pop whip for Library in good time.

I think we can get a good result by going:
Lighthouse -> Wealth -> Maoi
Monastery-> Maoi

Slow build Chariot with 4:hammers: per turn
Whip Library, Whip Chariot, produce chariot
Produce Library
Maoi Finished

We can also skip Silver City spreading a Missionary to Whale City.
Whale City can take Peter's missionary, make another 9/40:hammers: missionary, and send a new one on its way west only 1 turn slower. :)
That frees up Silver City to focus on Courthouse/Monastery

The Scientists in Silver City might work if we run more food.
Deer + 5 Scientists for 5 turns
2 Scientists for 4 turns

No. The GS will be too late. It needs to be born T105

Silver City to focus on Courthouse
Maybe if we have population to burn. There are better buildings

Now profit has 14/24f. By working on whale T97, it will get to pop3 at T99.
I'm not seeing the value here. We gain +14h by working 97 stone, 98-whale, 99 stone. We only lose 2:food: and 2c

Planning some infra before Banking....

Geez, Silver can grow about 8 pop every 10 turns  if it had to. So it does have at least 20 pop to burn before Banking.
We should have a University (6 pop whip) and Courthouse (4 pop), Temple (3 pop) It could use the happy, and Monastery (2 pop)....oh, and a Dun (1).
Except the Dun, most of these don't take much prep. If it runs out of things to pre-build, I think this is our General city, so Rax.
Good idea skipping the missionary in Silver, too small to whip.
I don't know that we need to work the Deer all the time. It's still too much food even with those 16 whipped. Working coast might be better sometimes.
With all that whipping, almost seems like a forge pays for itself if it goes first? :hmm: +2 happy, but that -1 health bothers me. Maybe it shouldn't.

Whales probably only could burn about ~15 pop since it needs to grow +10-ish. But we might work some of those good tiles, so maybe only ~10 pop should be whipped here?
monast, library, univ. Again, squeeze in a forge first?
If you're thinking courthouse, it's decent, but not as good as the above buildings.

1 double chech if Edu can be completed at T106
By supporting 2 scientists in canal city and working all furs after 2nd civic switch, education can be narrowly completed at T106. Whipping a missionary in whale makes the goal a bit hard to achieve. In the attached file I did whip a missionary in whale.
