[BTS] SGOTM 26 - Home Slices

We could do the 10 tech gifts and double bulb Biology and Astro.

We get iron and trade routes on T151.
Lose 1 happiness as Monuments obsolete.

Pushes back National Park and Sushi 3 turns though.

T151 - Attack Chaco Canyon from the sea with 3 Muskets + the 0xp Chariot if it is still defended by Archer + Dog Soldier
I approve this plan. but the Caravel should remain in this area to deal with Triremes and/or take care of the eastern galley. No spy to France.

Bis might take care of that for us :ar15:. Or Louis might be able DoW someone else?
I think my plan will work. Iron on the turn we get Astronomy.
The buildings and population alone give Charlie a +25000 soldier advantage.
I don't see who else France can attack since he has not met Sitting Bull.
100+gpt, around 120 gpt I think. No idea how much AI would pay for a horse.

I just want to be sure. Both Saladin and Bismark have iron right?
I thought Iron was around 65:gold: per turn.
I think horse and 4 more resources might be enough?

spy plan costs us 1 confu miss and some eps, given decent luck.
This plan has 3 ways to fail (spy caught before mission, fails mission, confu spread fails) and it costs more than 'some' eps.
Aren't we going to want that +1 for 10 techs even if we do +1 resources? So why not get the +1 tech for T153 or T154 Pleased and see if war is on the table?

Hmm. We can get gold and silk from Sal next turn cus we won't be worst enemy.

Biology/NatPark might only slip 2 turns cus we have overflow. Astronomy gets +0% research bonus too.
Sushi would probably slip 3 turns, but I think we can make that 2t also. We will get extra TR income.

Bulbing Astro is also the most economical bulb since Astro has no prereqs

I was forgetting Construction and probably something else, so we have 10 techs we can give him not counting calendar cus we can't give that til 152, and only if he doesn't already have it.
But we need to get him up the scoreboard, so it could take more tech.

For 151 iron, we would have to give him more military techs like CS + Machinery (mace), feudal, and Construction vs Paper & Calendar & nationalism in the other plan.
If you tell me that putting Louis at war will just make him create tons and tons of units, then I'm much less inclined to push for my war idea.

If we commit to 2-bulb Astro 151, we wouldn't have to get Louis to Pleased until T152 and save some of those military techs. We could give Paper, Calendar, etc. on T152.

Ya, they both have iron.

Here is a better answer for your 1st question.
I have no idea how the AI values Iron.
Maybe it changes based on relations, or techs known, or population, etc. :dunno:

Test Game from T115 shows Egypt willing to trade Iron for 58:gold: per turn, or Horse + 5 more resources.
I was able to make the deal with Horse + Fur + Silver + Gems + Whale + Stone

We could force feed an absurd amount of resources to Louis with Astro on T151.
8 resources (horse, stone, marble, wine, fur, silver, whale, gems) gets him to +2 in 13 turns.
We trade with Peter to get back wine.

Then by T164, we burn down Charlies' island city to hurt his score.
Gift up France either 10 techs or enough techs to reach rank 4 on the scoreboard for +1 more diplo.
Then get Iron on T164.

=======================================
Getting early T151 Iron? hmm.
Needs both 10 techs and 4th place on the scoreboard ya.

Afk for a few hours.

Maybe we don't even want iron yet? We need it when we get Radio (Eiffel), and would be nice after IW is built.
But it's gonna cost us lots of resources. I'd like to spend some time getting HE failgold with marble. Should we plan to get Iron after we're done with marble?
What would we do with it rt now? If we had it for 1 turn, we could upgrade some caravels to frigate. Then pillage the stone? or something? to cancel the deal. Stone is a pain to re-quarry.

We can give him a few techs now so that some day we can hit the 10 tech mark. Maybe T175 OB is soon enough for Iron?

Oh no. Louis and HRE will go to +4 shared civic. Will they be Pleased cus then we'd get -1 from Louis when we DoW HRE....unless, we go back to the original plan of putting Louis at war with HRE.

This is exhausting.
