The Ming Empire of China is threatning war against us, would you protect us from their tyrany?

We shall view our current course of action however we would like support from you if it were to come to war, the Kingdom can ill afford heavy losses and we do not hold a far enough lead over the Shan to ensure that this would be.

Don't expect any help from the Mughal Empire. They vassalized Nepal and you would probably be the next one on their list!
One last time we extend our hand to you to become a Ming tribute state and avoid unnecessary bloodshed.

We would rather willingly become a tributary of the Mughals then to be forced to become a tributary of you.... No!

We will guarantee your independence against the Ming should they choose to seek your subjugation.

You actions against the Shan states has resulted in their seeking aid from us. And we are much of the view that we should give it. We view the Shan States and Tibet as a vital buffer region between our empire's, you may point out our actions in Nepal if you wish, but I point out that you share no border with Nepal, and our actions in Nepal was not a direct threat to your security.

The Shan states however being the only independent and sovereign territory between us must we feel remain independent. We believe an agreement however can be made, if we both recognize the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Shan states and make no attempt to vassalize them.

A war between us would be most unfortunate for both of us I assure you.

We have cannabis also, but we would welcome trade with your nation.

Yes, because then Persia would have to get involved if you were invaded, sucks for us.

Greetings Asians. Why sow discord amongst yourselves? We must unite together in order to combat the European presences. Please resolve this peacefully, as Persia and many many other countries have interests in both of yours.

Emperor Tasmasp offers to conduct peace talks between the two nations at the Conference of Tehran, if needed.

OOC: As an Economist I would like to point out the incredible absurdity of "trade with anyone." Just because you have free trade agreements doesn't mean your people have more money to spend, so the more trade agreements you have the smaller the benefit to each individual trade partner of yours.

OOC: All it means from my jurists point of view is that better goods will eventually overwhelm inner markets provided that they can get there.

Orders comning soon, right after the time I figure out what to do with my country.

We can indeed come to an agreement if we both recognize the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Shan States and make no attempt to vassalize them. The Shan States can function as a buffer between our Great Empires and maybe as a free trade zone for both our merchants.

A war between our Empires would definitely not in both our best intrests and could spoil any future trade opportunities.

At this moment no full-blown war has broken out between the Mughals and the Ming so this petty dispute can be resolved peacefully if the Muġalīah Sulṭanat recognizes the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Shan States as we intend to do.

We also agree with you about Europeans who are spreading like wildfire all around the world. We'll keep an eye on them and their actions.

The Muġalīah Sulṭanat would find such an accord agreeable. We have no designs upon the Shan States nor any of your vassals or your territory. We ask that you make certain that you have no designs upon ours and let us maintain the Shan states as a buffer between us.

There are varied avenues of expansion open to both of us, there is no reason we should clash over such an insignificant and weak nation.

Furthermore we would be willing to work with the Ming and Persians in reestablishing the Silk Road's traditional route through Afghanistan and Central Asia.

We consider this dispute settled.

Also let the free trade along the Silk Road begin.
