To the Ottoman Empire
The Ottoman Sultan is wise, and we are glad that we are coming to an agreement.
We fully agree with the Ottoman reasoning regarding Azov. It is an Ottoman city after all, and it should be the Ottomans who chose how to handle the trade through it. The Ottoman proposal is more than satisfactory.
We suggest that, given an alliance between Russia and the Ottoman Empire, as both the Knyaz and the Sultan have suggested, Astrakhan become a city similar to Azov. The land will remain Russian while Ottoman traders and people are welcomed there, and in fact in the whole former Khanate of Astrakhan, as our friends.
