Sid variant

I did some calculs and have a "plan": Toxi City should gone first.
The benefit not only that it gives extra tiles for core cities but Rank corruption reduces. The benefit equal
bc=(Total row(!) production of outside Ciries)* 2 /(OCN) [for commerce ]

bp=(Total row(!) production of outside Ciries) /(OCN) [for schilds ]

I think Babylon land is "good" for normal work, not for "farms". I gonna to finish Babs ASAP and improve their land.

I plaed 3 more turns and face "ethical problem". I thik you guess what: Ernswort Agreement. At Sid it is not that effecient as AI run huge defecite, but nevertheless we can get some money.
If we impose "Lanzelot restriction" then together with our variant rule " no Tech for gpt" it means that we gain almost nothing. However, we may gift some SCi AIs to IA and get Nationalism for Medecine+ gpt, say. Do we want it? Or we want to finish it as soon as possible and may use "EA" in full scale? Or vise a versa we want "fair" play? What means "fair" in our understanding?

Honestly, I don't know what you mean. Is asking th AI to pay for techs not ok? I don't quite understand this

I also think that it is OK, but that caused strange discussion "exploitive gpt trade with AI", at GOTM and SGOTM threads. And in SGTOM 13 we play with strange "Lanzelot rule". But in our game we are free to do what we want...

If AI is "simply" paying gpt for tech is ok. But when you for example sign MA vs civ which is going to be destroyed this turn with other civ giving them many gpt for alliance and trading back the gpt you gave for techs, the other civ is destroyed, MA ends and you are no longer paying for alliance but you are getting many gpt from that civ you signed MA. By doing this you can simply get loads of gpt from AI.

Look at Lord Emsworth's HOF game where he heavily used this technique and achieved 100K cultural victory in 150 AD on chieftain on large map

Here the situation.
Sid is not Chiftain and LA not that easy. Poor AI stay in defecite and will not pay until gifted by 500 gpt say. Reach AIs have almost all tech.
Don' t know.
If we use plain EA we better gift Russia and Japan and America.
However if we want to use Lanzelot restriction we may trade Democracy with MA and then sell Ironclads for about 300 gpt to France and about 100 gpt to Germany and about 50 gpt to Greece. Xerks will not give Natio no matter what.

Maybe we won't get that much from using "EA" but we can try to see how much we can get much from SID AI's for educational purposes in this game

My experience at SID level is that once the AI starts to fight, huge amounts of money become avalaible for trade as their unit support melts. Other than that, I don't think you can gain anything from trading them gpt, as they would absorb that very fast.

I did EA with Russia, Japan and America. Russia gave best return, (-22gpt), whearas America and Japan had approx -400 and - 300 gpt. I also brought France to war vs Sumeria,
Gifted Russia to IA and Trade Nationalism.
Did not trade Ironclads and Nationalism around
but France and Germany manage to get it somehow.
Don't know, shall we kill Romans first or sail straight to Sumeria? My original plans was "romans first". Sumeria did well until now, capture Hamadan, sent Galley to our coast...

Beorn up.

Won't have time today, I'll give it a good shot tomorrow. Big progress since the last time, that's what I get from skipping out on this through the finals weeks at school. I'm not even completely done with papers to write yet and I have one due tonight

The Rome vs Sumeria question I can't answer right away, but it's a matter of which would benefit us most for its cost. Will look into it soon and report back.

Alright, let's face it, I always end up short of time to play this, I start, play a turn, get dragged into something else and I don't want to disturb the pace of the game any more. Very sorry, this was getting so interesting too :( So I will keep lurking with interest, good luck and :thanx: for the ride.

:newyear:

OK. Ignas up. Task of the turns is improuvment of Babylons land. It is really productive with lib and corthouses. Gradually remove Toxi and Hollywood.
What next? "What" or "Iriigate"? We also can remove Tip Toe soon and Sherburg.

OK, got the save, will probably play tomorrow

Will improve Bab lands and remove few cities though i wouldn't do that in my solo game.
Will land and declare war on Rome to fish for few more leaders

Merry Christmas everyone :) !

Sorry for delay. Played 3 turns, landed in Rome. Wanted to say that bab/greek continent is totally corrupted (most towns are~85 % corrupted) and it's not worth to build infrastructure there, even if we disband some core cities corruption will be too high. I'd suggest ICS that continent as it will give much more benefit. What do you think? We need many workers ASAP also to improve our land

agree to do that. I rather we leave our home continent as it is and get more unit support and scientists from other land.

i will disband Toxicity for more tiles for other core cities who has hospitals. other than that i will ICS the BAB continent for scientistis. We have much gold, will rush quite a few settlers in Babylonia

OK also the sreenshots are also coming soon

Toxi, What, Lost in Holywood, Cherburd and Tip Toe, Knossos will gone.
Do not settel closer than Babylon.
Also, as we have lot of Cash rush corthouses.
Look, even Ninevech produce something...

OK, as you wish. I just thought sci farms would be much better in this situation
I am not "very" experienced at Sid. But calculations shows that Corthouse is very efficient. We have good deal of cash to rush
