MM, we can employ civil engineers and that makes more sense on many occasions rather than getting 2 uncorrupted shields
We should also get some science farms up
rush quite a bit of stuff
1.1160AD
get second army into position so we can attack with 2 armies. Fighting infantry won't be easy I guess
rush more stuff including a fair number of factories
2.1170AD
we need to road a hill to be able to access Elephantium with artillery, then we are ready for war
more rushing of stuff
3.1180AD
we can now reach Elephantium with our artillery, time for war
France declares war upon asking them to leave
defeat 4 infantry, 2 cavalry and 1 musket and take the city...flip risk very high
replace city after selling off the stuff inside
clear around 10-15 enemy units that are exposed, while losing only 1 cav
sign everyone else in for gpt against France
more rushing off stuff, I also get communism in case we want to build police stations for less corruption
IT lose 1 cav and 1 infantry to the French counter
4. 1190AD
defeat the intruders, most of them anyway
move army with artillery in range of Lyons
rush some stuff including a police station in Ashur
IT this time France has nothing much to offer
5. 1200AD
attack Lyons after shelling them properly, take out 5 units and the city is ours
from here we can reach Rheims. Lose 1 cav, but manage to raze it
replace it with Cheju
move troops and rush some stuff including settlers
IT no attacks from France except that they sink with 2 frigates trying to rid of of ours
6.1210AD
found 2 cities to ease access to Orleans and Paris
defeat a few remaining units in the back, while doing so, get a 3rd cav army, just nice
move units towards those 2 cities.
Rush more settlers (we want that land to be really settled)
IT France attacks our small landing band, but loses 2 cavs and doesn't succeed with 1 cav on the main Island either
we get steel, refining currently takes 8 turns, we also finally get Hoovers
7.1220AD
bomb as much as possible but not all units are red in Paris and Orleans
it costs us 5 cavalry, but we manage to take Orleans
Paris is size 18, I don't dare to attack it now
we need more artillery there, move some more there
found 3 more cities
the usual rushing of stuff
IT French attack with 3 cavs but all retreat
so far no flips thought I plan to keep those wonder cities
8. 1230AD
bombard Paris, at least 9 infantry inside, wait for more artillery from Orleans
2 wounded armies heal as well
cash rush another army, if we want to take Paris, we need quite a few of them
IT French aren't very successful with their attacks
9. 1240AD
first stage of WW kicks in, US would be nice, conveniently located in Paris defeat red cav and get another army
bombard Paris, still some yellow infantry inside
this is downright brutal as a pop 18 city won't just give up so easily
armies go red defeating a red infantry...I use everything we have to fight
lose around 8 cavalry (not good for WW, but no help here)
put as many units as possible into the city so we can starve it
found 2 more cities to fill some gaps
IT Lyon and Orleans depose us...this is of course a problem in the future
10. 1250AD
take back Lyon and raze it
raze Tours, take back Orleans
armies have to heal this turn, move stack of artillery towards Marseilles
leave it to the next player to rush more stuff..we can settle som gaps and should raze the French cities
I would keep Orleans and Paris for their wonders.
I purposely didn't fill the 5 armies we have with more than 3 units as we want to take out overseas cities
situation in former France
