Dunno if these are true, but neat either way.

Kinda makes you feel small and unimportant.

Lol yeah most solar system charts get it SO wrong lol.

btw ko0l!

Antares is...large.

What's makes it more mind boggling is if you have the entire solar system to scale, including the distances between planets. Then you get a sense of how huge it is.

I knew all of that. I still feel important because for all its size, Antares doesn't post here on CFC.

By the way, there are 7 moons in the Solar System larger than Pluto: ours, the 4 Galilean moons (Io, Europa, Ganymede, Calisto) of Jupiter, Titan of Saturn, and Tritan of Neptune. Additionally, there are several KBOs (Kuiper Belt Objects) bigger than Pluto. I feel very strongly that Pluto should not be a planet.

Does pluto have its own moon?

Sure it does, but then Mercury doesn't and it's a planet. There are larger KBOs and I bet some of them will turn out to moons. I really don't think Pluto should be grandfathered when other, better-qualified objects aren't, just because Pluto was found earlier.

The oddest part is that I feel really strongly about this and I have not the slightest idea why. I mean, it is a silly thing about which to preoccupy ones' self.

IIRC, it has one satellite.

They actually just found 2 more recently: Nix and Hydra, to go with Charon.

But there is at least one asteroid in the Asteroid Belt with a moon, yet it doesn't qualify. So why should Pluto?

I concur.

Yes Pluto does have a small moon Charon and two other very small moons were recently discoverd.

Duh, I posted the thread. I shouldn't be this dumb;)

By no means am I saying having a moon should be the only qualification for being a planet.

There's several

If by several, you mean one

Of course, I do agree that Pluto should not be considered a planet. :)

Do you think Pluto should be considered a planet, if so why?

These pics are really cool
Indeed they are.

I would've been cool though if they put on smaller stars too.

Isn't the sun an average size star in terms of stars? I know some of them are Red giant and supergiants. When the sun reaches the red giant stage, it should swell to about 10,000 times its current volume.

uhhh, isn't Neptune bigger than Saturn?
