-UPDATE TWO-
2800 B.C
The
Brandenburgers continue to focus on their agricultural output, and now with the creation of more farmland, no one goes hungry, and it comes to encourage a population boom to their basically unpopulated nation now that everyone is able to eat. Also, this leads to a considerable amount of land gains along the river, as the surrounding populations decide to join Brandenburg before they starve to death. Yet, most of this is to the south… as now, to the north, there has been word of another nation who has begun to influence the trade in the area, which has led to the northern tribes becoming less dependent upon Brandenburg… this nation is Galavania. Through trade and hunting excursions,
contact between the two nations has been established. (+1 Population)
The
Galavanians have crossed the ocean southwards with an army and a small navy, reaching land and establishing a colony. They continue their efforts to domesticate caribou, and while the tactics used are very, very primitive, it is clear some progress is being made in the attempts. They also attempt to relocate people in some of the more overpopulated encampments, and they are successful in this regard, having them adjust to life on certain islands surrounding the area. Also, as the various events in Galavanian lands have come to establish a strong presence within the minds of its citizens, the Galavanians feel a greater sense of culture. (+1 Culture)
Immediately, the
Frankish tribes raise two armies, and using some blunt stone axes, have their forces work to construct a bridge, held together by vines, in order to cross the Rhone river and expand eastwards. Domestically, they work on a granary across the river, where they can safely store grown food so that it is safe not only from the natural elements, but from marauding warriors. Meanwhile, greedy eyes continue to fall upon Frankish lands from various tribes in the area, and merchants bring word that an army comes marching, north of the Rhone…
The
Celto-Jutes have carved various works on Jutic Runes, yet there is an especially interesting one pertaining to the domestication of cows. The findings of its author have spread to others in the land, and have now become common knowledge. This has propelled the speed of the domestication process. It seems as though the way of the cow has indeed been learned, yet it shall be a few more years before anyone is entirely sure that the cows can be handled.
The
Draganite-Hofan League keep their forces on guard for any sign of trouble, and rightly so, because two minor tribes have united in order to combat the League. At this moment, the newly united tribe makes no move into Draganite-Hofan lands, and thus the latter’s armies hold steadfast, awaiting further orders. The League quickly begins to cultivate some crops incase extra food is required in the upcoming battles.
The
Men-Nefer tribe begins harvesting reed beds to built boats out of, as well as advanced housing with this material. They no longer live in tents of crocodile hide, and now the populace truly begins to settle down, building houses of reeds in decent proximity within each other, and even having one area becoming nicely populated with these buildings, yet, there is not enough of them at the moment to truly call it a city, though it is a well-established village. At this time, they also begin the construction nof “The Temple of Ismus”, a huge reed building which shall cover their small alter, and hold room for many more things…The higher-ups of the Men-Nefer tribe decide on paying local peasants to have their farms irrigated… the problem being they have only a meager patch of farmland at the moment! That, and the fact that the overflowing of the Nile itself from time to time provides enough irrigation on its own to supply the needed amount of water. Yet, knowing this, the peasants stay quiet about the issue, and accept the payment, for no work! As if that wasn’t enough, a newly built navy was ordered to expand into the island known as Cyprus… yet, with the only army away fighting other tribes for expansion, and the people focusing on their infrastructure, there is no one to take over to Cyprus on the navy, and no one really willing to leave the growing establishments for a unknown land in the sea.
The
Lahmisi tribe, to the surprise of many tribes in the area, finally sends out their army, having them move northwards, coming dangerously close to Sentrim lands, and eventually establishing enough presence to create a border between the two nations. After the successful expansion, the army is spread out a little to guard some trade routes and small villages. At this time, leaders of the Lahmisi tribe were expecting a probable relocation of villagers towards islands in the east… there is virtually no number of population to work with in this regard, and doing so would leave much of their currently occupied land… unoccupied.
The
Sentrim tribe focuses on the arts of masonry and woodworking, continually carving, but without much incentive as nothing precious is being gained by those working in these fields. Yet, they have begun to pay the most learned of their nation (who are one and few in between) to teach what they know of education in general to others. At the moment, the whole process is very disorganized, and some people just don’t have the time to sit around and listen when their attention should be focused on working on the meager farmland they hold, and making sure enough food is spread throughout the tribe. The Sentrim also build a navy, and have their only army ride towards a few islands in the west, which happen to be rich with goods to bring back to the homeland.
This has them earning a nice little economy point. Yet, it is also a dangerous move, as now the Lahmisi have reached borders with them… and with their only army remaining in the islands; it is unknown what is to become of their undefended mainland. After a few years, two naval units are lost as sea while on a scavenging mission, as the current agriculture could not support so much military. (+1 Economy point, -2 Navy)
The
Altimoreans continue to fund some research into developing better armor for their warriors, and they are possibly on the verge of making a discovery. Other than this, they begin a massive project; the construction of a “Great Road” system to encompass the empire and facilitate trade. Militarily, they continue to raid and invade various tribes and threatening those who are non-hostile... and though they’ve gained land in the north, to the south, the remaining tribes realize that soon they will be either taken over or pushed out of the peninsula; thus, they unite to try and combat the invading Altimoreans. For now, there have been no skirmishes, but a coming battle is inevitable.
The
Iberian tribes raise a navy and army and put them on standby. Besides that, nothing major has occurred… except, of course, a population boom! Basically, in a small gathering of huts far away from the first village, some very bored people were waiting for their berries to grow… and thus they came up with an idea. The ones that had been alive for 16 years gathered in the centre of the huts. The men then ran off behind the buildings, leaving the females on their own. The women then took off what little clothes they had on and started to make out with each other. This got the men very excited; soon they burst from their hiding places and took the women whichever way was easiest. Months later, there was a baby boom. The village decided that they would look after the children communally. Thanks to people travelling between villages, this concept spread very fast was very popular, and no one had much trouble with it… except, of course, the navy and the army! Hearing of the debauchery which taking place through the nation, the standing army and those presiding over the navy disbanded and went home to get jiggy with it! (+1 Population, -1 Army -1 Navy)

Contact between Amon and IceKommander
Abaddon – It costs 2 economy points to advance a project by 1 turn. I
banked the 1 EP you tried to use on it.
Erez – Remember, you can only support twice your agriculture! Army and Navy is combined in this regard!
