SkepNES : Vincere est Vivere (Redo)

I expanded toward the Thames. Sorry If I didn't make that clear.

1 on Education (The Great Priest starts up Schools to teach history and handling)
1 on Agriculture (Cows grow in importance.)

The Huvian Clan

The Huvian is the First Clan Settlement to start using cows. Using their manuer for crops, power for digging, hide for clothes and meat for eating. Their clan quicky grew in size and power, becoming the biggest clan that held a whole Thames Chiefdom for itself. Many other tribes followed in success but the Huvian Chieftians are allowed to elect a Supervisor for themselves. A single clan is unheard of. In the Clan War in which they rebeled the Ceults (Celtic Jutes) used a greenish stone called Copr and the whitish metal called Tin in their spears. In the war the smiths discovered that melting them together makes a stronger Metal, which is a melted strong stone in their toung. However, Copr is scarce in the Isles and only a few weak Brons experiments are completed.

(I.E. Britian is rich in tin but poor in copper, they got it from Spain.)

During the war the Huvians also used a throwing stick. It propelled the spear longer and faster. In far range it can hit and wound. In close range it can go right through a man.

The war lasted a generation. They they surrendered their SuperVisor monopoly to be elected. At the end of the war, expansion of the Five Chiefdoms lead to the colonization of the whole south of the Isle. It is not known what will happen next as population slowly but steadily booms. (their army is the militia. They lost, you say what happenes next)

On the Aftermath

After the Huvian War. There are 5 Chiefdoms. Thames, Hitherlands, Homelands, Walies, and Norhills. Huvians and Yulia Clans live in Thames. Triter Guti, Raitii and the Westine Clanes in Hitherlands. Jutii, Ceutii and Celtii int he Homelands and various colonies of themin Walies and Norhills to the North.

The Five SuperVisors became and Three Counsolers and the one Lord. The Lord is the spritual representation of the whole nation for the Priest. They are elected by the Counsolers every 3 Lords in a Family. The Counsolers themselves can't elect their own families.

Their are 5 Chieftians now, an they are large. With 8 Clan Leaders of many settlements instead of few, Families are more important as Clans Lines grow weak. Still, the closest strong leader to many is the Clan Leader.

Copr, Tine and Brons are known only to the 17 Smiths and the 6 HillLand Priest. Of Which me, Hendworth is one. I hope the rest of the century will be as prosperous as the first part. (before the Clan war.)m (The war would make tech growth faster, like many other wars I know. (WW!, WWII ect.))

To:Galavania
From:Brandenburg

Greetings! We have heard tales of your great influence in matters regarding the tribes north of the great ocean. A, we would like knowledge of how to cross the ocean to better trade with the Galavanians, and B, we are a nation built on trade.... SO OF COURSE WE WILL TRADE!

I have all sorts of ceramic, and farm goods that could be traded for what from the Galavanians?

The Will of The Thousand Gods

The Lahmisi people have been peaceful throughout their existence as a unified state. Trade brought in news and strange works from far away lands, Sentrim carvings becoming increasingly popular among shamans and chiefs. The fields grew plentiful with food, the population growing steadily. Fishermen rowed their boats in peaceful waters, catching fish to feed their families and sell to others. Life was peaceful and calm, the Lahmisi people happily living their lives with simplicity and joy. Then, something strange started to happen.

Koshutist shamans started communicating with each other, realizing how much power they had over their villages. Many of them were the de facto leaders of their villages, their words moving people against anyone they saw as the enemy. Slowly these shamans began to co-operate, allying themselves with one another so that their power grew even more. Soon, every village was under the control of a shaman-chief. The people followed their every command, for they were the avatars from which the god’s words came.

Farmers worked with renewed vigor. Builders built faster. Warriors fought harder. All were pushed to their limits by the Shamans of the Thousand Gods. They acted as if the gods themselves were pushing them further, their eyes ever on the Lahmisi people. Those that disobeyed the will of the gods were killed for heresy and put on display for all to see. And so people kept working, all under the guidance of the shamans.

But as this happened, some shamans wished for more power and began to try and usurp each other in an attempt to be the one true ruler of the Lahmisi. But these small civil wars and fights did no good and only weakened the shamans’ power. To the commoners of Lahmisi the wills of the gods were now fighting right in front of them. Many couldn’t accept the situation as reality and fled or killed themselves. Others simply killed anyone who fought.

Finally, a shaman stood up that would be hailed as the savior of Lahmisi. His name was Ephil, avatar of Witra, god of gods. He saw the unification of Lahmisi unfold before his very eyes, so he set out on a journey. His pilgrimage would be one of the most famous events in Lahmisi history. For he journeyed to every village known to the Lahmisi, explaining the wrongs of the fighting between the shamans. And in these acts he gained followers. Some were commoners, while others were shamans that shared his views. With his amount of followers and allies growing he could have taken the entire country by force. And yet he didn’t.

He offered the remaining shamans that rejected his offer of peace one last chance to join him in bringing peace back to the land. The rouge shamans rejected his offers, calling him insane and false. But the followers of the rouge shamans were moved by Ephil’s words, and overthrew their rulers, killing many of them.

With Lahmisi back to its peaceful state, Ephil organized a way for the shamans to share power evenly, perhaps keeping them from attacking one another. This idea of Ephil’s was the Council of The Thousand Gods. Each shaman from every village would represent their god and people at the large town of Ecramus. Ecramus could be considered the first large Lahmisi settlement, as it actually had a rather high population. It resides next to the Mediterranean Sea, providing fish and a place for people to build boats. The land surrounding Ecramus is rather flat, allowing for many large fields to be planted with crops.

Now, every five years the shamans of Lahmisi make their own journey much like Ephil, and go to Ecramus. Once there, they will reside there for about a year, resolving issues and make decisions together. Their will is the will of the gods.

OOC: Basically I've made Lahmisi a Oligarchy with very strong religious elements. Ecramus will serve as the capital village of Lahmisi and is along the coast of the Mediterranean Sea.

To Brandenburg
From Galavania

We have Caribou, Caribou coats, Caribou stew, Caribou with vegtables,Filleted Caribou, Caribou with fish, Stuffed Caribou, Caribou a la creme. Oh, and clay pots too(to put caribou in). Also we would be glad to teach you islanders how to cross the ocean!

When the current Chief told his advisers about his plan to build a Great Road, they just laughed at him. "Are you joking, sir?" they asked, thinking he must be out of his mind. What could they need a great road for, when they were still living in tents and hadn't even the faintest idea of permanent shelter?

"No, I am not." He replied.

"Well," started the Bora adviser, "we just don't understand its purpose."

The chief raised an eyebrow at him. "Hmmm? You don't understand the purpose of the Great Road? How is it not obvious to you?" no one answered, or looked at the chief. They all seemed embarrassed and afraid to sound like idiots for not answering correctly. "C'mon, people, just think! With this road system, we will be able to move our harvests around much easier from camp to camp. When one area has had a boom in harvest one year, while another area has suffered, parts of the crops from the well to do area can be sent to the people who had bad luck, and everyone can eat. Instead of having to travel over rough terrain, lay some rocks down, make the ground smooth, it'll be much easier to move around, and get where you're going."

"Oh... uh, yes, sir, I see your point, it is valid." the Vorkina adviser mumbled.

"Of course it is. I am the smartest in the land, and the best raider alive. Of course it is a valid reason, and of course it makes sense. You see how much I have pillaged? You know what that means? I am the greatest person in the entire world, and as such, I know what I am doing, whether my advisers do or do not. It is really a very simple matter. If you ever forget why I am so smart and gifted, just look at my collection of loot, and you'll remember." explained the Chief.

The others nodded in agreement. Of course he knew what he was doing, he was the greatest raider in the nation, a god amongst men, worshiped by all as the most successful man in Altimora, and he didn't get that way by being stupid.

I like cariboobs.

My economy shrank?

EDIT resigning.

I'm sorry, but I don't think I can cope with having to send in orders every 48 hours or so. Resigning

I guess I should be sending orders.

The rules are kind of harsh... It will take a while until big wars will start poping up...

You should rush the time a wee bit.

Oh yes I forgot

to the Lhamasi:
from Sentrim.

We will teach you what we know of stone working if you teach us better farming skills. This is a good deal indeed.

To: Sentrim
From: Lahmisi

Some of our farmers and a large amount of food (two agriculture points) will be sent to your lands. Hopefully you will learn to prosper and grow bountiful crops like us. We eagerly await the arrival of your stone workers.

THe reign of Necros

After Speaker Eric died, there was something of a coup. Speaker Necros had two older brothers that died under mysterious circumstances. This worried the Galavanian tribes but their really wasn't much they could do about it.

The long times spent domesticating caribou came to fruitation in early in Speaker Necros reign. He commisioned a third army, but it was filled with Caribou raiders. These people carried easily lightable torches and long bone spears. They were made for quickly attacking and burning down a village or farm. Soon this new group was up north burning and pillaging their way across the countryside. Of course many tibes quickly surrendered, but many did not.

Meanwhile the colonization efforts continued to be succesful. More island villages were established and the existing ones grew much larger, with people looking for a new start. But the overall flow of people going to the islands began to slow, and the villages on the mainland continue to gain size.

The army was moved to the peninsula christened Denmark. It was of couse, considered only an extrodinarily large island to the Galavanians, but the army marched along "absorbing" the surrounding country and people into Galavania.

But in Galavania new theories were taking hold. The Galavanian people had a myriad of faiths and gods, but the core had no one, true faith. Until Necros commanded that Galavanians should warship the dead. This practise quickly became known as Necromancy, where people would offer up gifts and prayers to the dead, who would in their infinite wisdom hopefully guide the prayer into glory.

But a problem was soon encountered. Many people didn't want to convert to Necromancy. But Necros was persistant, and with a squad of Caribou raiders behind him nobody wanted to complain, so Galavania become Necromantic.

Necros's reign came to an end almost 65 years after it started, when he passed into the land of the dead. But the marks were made and Galavania was practically a unified faith. So when Uvaril II acended the throne their were no religious problems. Yet.
