Slightly off topic, but not too far afield:

How does the Value of tech bulbing and slingshotting change with tech trading disabled?
No longer get the benefit of trading the bulbed tech. But it does put you ahead in the tech race - a race where it may be harder to catch up without trading.

I usually play with tech trading allowed but brokering disabled. Brokering, IMO is the height of cheese.

Why? The AI can do it just as much as you can. Of course it probably won't be as shrewd about it, but that's why we have difficulty levels.

I know and understand your feelings, but after you try in some games more active approach to trading especially in early BCs you will find that generally all your techs come sooner then you are used to.
Active trading could really quicken your gameplay...
