Small Observations General Thread (things not worth separate threads)

It's worked for me twice and not worked many more times. Not sure what it is that's making the unlock register correctly.

I always build temples and have unlocked Siam in literally every game I have played. I thought they fixed the issue some were having in a patch though.

Hi here,
While working on the localization, I stumbled on the following texts
Can someone explain where specifically the text from the following tags is used?

LOC_ATTR_CONSTRUCTIBLE_WAREHOUSE >> From Constructible Warehouses
LOC_ATTR_FEATURE_WAREHOUSE >> From Feature Warehouses
LOC_ATTR_TERRAIN_WAREHOUSE >> From Terrain Warehouses
LOC_ATTR_LAKE_WAREHOUSE >> From Lake Warehouses
LOC_ATTR_NATURAL_WONDER_WAREHOUSE >> From Natural Wonder Warehouses
LOC_ATTR_ROUTE_WAREHOUSE >> From Trade Route Warehouses

I am ab bit lost what specifically these lines suppose to represent (what are the use cases for them).

Thank you in advance
Well, Warehouse is term used for buildings which cannot be overbuilt and are availiable regardless of age. I assume something akin to Farm receiving +1 Food from Granary would be labeled +1 Food from Constructible Warehouses. Don't know If it's used that way or what about the others. Maybe obsolete entries.

I had Siam triggered as unlocked, but couldn't choose it afterwards. I noticed however on the age transition screen, that the unlock requirements are Build 4 Temples AND Work 3 Elephants resources, and this latter I was missing. Unfortunately I forgot to take a screenshot...

So I think that the unlock screen trigger is bugged (triggered only for temples), and that's what confuses people. Could you remember if you've worked (and not just imported as I did) Elephants?

It's 4 temples or 3 ivory, not both.

Apologies this has been mentioned already, but I am loving the way weather works in Civ7, specifically with snow. In my first game as Himiko, I settled my capital in a snowy region. I thought, "Well, OK, I guess I'm in tundra for some reason," and resisted a restart (was never much one for restarting, anyway). The next age, it had warmed up, and the tiles were clear of snow. But later in the age a snowstorm hit and covered the tiles in snow again for several turns. Nice touch!

That looks broken 😮‍💨 The highest culture I’ve had so far was Mexico at about 2000 per turn during their unique celebration, and that was already way too much culture.
Having a really big science or culture yield compared to the other is kind of a problem sometimes, because future tech/dogma greatly increase the era score. And you might miss a few turn to fullfill the other legacy paths because of that (althougth the wildcard attribute points are REALLY sweet, and might compensate more than generously).

Neat, I'm in a Himiko tundra game right now also but I never noticed that snow cover changes! I assume it's just cosmetic? Wonder whether ice changes also, I seem to sometimes be able to pass it and sometimes not, haven't tested yet if it's to do with the ice amount or something.

But culture victory is so easy, once you hit hegemony the game is basically over.

There's not a lot of words, but I really Harriet Tubman's voice actor.
I can't tell if the absence of the critical verb is an intentional part of this statement or not.

It did have changes to terrain yields. The snow brought +s to food, if I recall correctly. :)

I delayed my victory by 30+ turns just to see how high I could pump the numbers.
