SoftMaker Office and "Load and Help"

So I just discovered another Office Suite called SoftMaker Office. It's made by a German company, and they now have a gimmick. They have just released their newest version of their office suite (2010) for money, they are releasing their old version (2008) for absolutely free with no string attached and they will give a small amount to charity (they also release the previous version, 2006, for free as well).

Now has anybody else heard of this program and have tried it? What did you think of it?

I'm downloading the 2008 version (40% done), just to increase their charity donation
I don't know if I'll actually use it, I like OpenOffice just fine. But it might come in handy some day.
