Some patch stuff from in-game

Building a GP structure on a luxury does not develop it, and when I tried to build a mine on it afterward, was told it would remove the prior improvement. So the change must apply only to resources.

Unless someone found it and I was a dummy, the replay must be at the end of game and can't be accessed during the game, which means I'll still prefer to play with InfoAddict :(

The patch specifically mentions strategic resources. Luxury resources don't suddenly appear midgame.

Uh, I started playing on King. I must say, when the AI decides to go warmonger, they really mean it. Ugh.

Uh oh. I'm playing Babylon on Immortal, and built the GL pre-NC. Greece attacked, but retreated. I guess I should expect a second wave soon, then.

I've also noticed more units being thrown at me.

Lucky the Obligatory (speling ?? ) SP glitch has been fixed.

With the increased ranged damage from archers, its quite easy to defend early on. :mischief:

Contrary to the tech tree, I am now building a marble-based Stone Works in my capital, which was settled on plains. It's possible that the restriction applies only to Stone.

Actually, they can. You can make any resource reveal at a given technology; there just aren't any of those in a vanilla game. My mod has one combined luxury/strategic that reveals in a later era, and in the process of making that work I've found quite a few UI bits that can't handle that idea.

But it sounds like they did this the hard way, and just enabled all of the GP improvements as resource harvesters for each individual strategic. So I wouldn't be surprised if they left off the luxuries, because of how none of those pop up later on in a vanilla game.

Has anybody tested if A bombs can be intercepted yet?

There's nothing in the patch notes implying a fix to nuke interception, so I'm going to assume they still can't be shot down. (That's why my own mod adds a working SDI project that DOES intercept nukes.)

Bibor, are you going to be posting any videos about the new patch? I see not yet, hopefully you will. I have learned a lot from you videos.

Has anyone tried hotseat? I want to try it, but my brother is asleep, perhaps tomorrow.

Autocracy is quite nice as well now. I had no trouble just annexing cities and building courthouses to keep happiness in check. (going from occupied to courthouse city is insane happiness ;) ) It just arrives a bit late :( I think you should always go into that now when going for warmongering games.

Has anyone tried hotseat? I want to try it, but my brother is asleep, perhaps tomorrow. You can play against AIs or humans.

I played a couple of turns by myself with two "human players" to confirm that it worked. I won't play a real hotseat game until tonight or tomorrow.

Yeah, thats what I did, but it should be interesting. Tomorrow I'll try it and start a single player game to try out the patch as well.

So: no mods?

Probably at least a matter of days for most to be updated.

I had the version with TBC disactivated, so I couldn't really tell. I'll reactivate it and then see in a while (or try an obvious one like InfoAddict). One bad sign is that you go from Mods to SP - not to MP (HS). However, you can activate a mod, then go "back" and into MP.

I think Seek meant whether mods work with Hotseat.
