So you would have no qualms putting down a rebellion in your lands, yet you dare point your cannons and dare to intervene when other nations do the same thing?

Hypocrisy at its finest.

Angola is the Angolan homeland, our own soil. Carthage is not Greek. Carthage is a colony, whereas the Angolan provinces of mainland Africa are core Angolan provinces.

The New Lunar Republic
oefgb.png

Nation Name - The New Lunar Republic

Color - Dark Blue/Purple

Government - The New Lunar Republic has a complicated Government. It is a republic and so functions as such with a body of representatives who are elected in by their constituencies and represent a political party. The Political party in power holds over the Cabinet and the position of Grand Secretariat. The Main Opposition holds the Second Cabinet and the position of Senior Secretary of State. Power mainly rests in the cabinet and Grand Secretariat and the Second Cabinet generally has no power to propose acts although on rare occasions the Second Cabinet has been known to propose a few in situations where there was little doubt of its passage or where there was not confidence in the ruling party.
Princess Luna's (Think Simon Bolivar but a woman) position is litte more of one of figure head politicaly although she has supreme controll over the entirety of the armed forces. Due to the currently enforced martial law she still has effective control over the nation.

Laws - Free Healthcare! Other than that it is a state currently under martial law to deal with the threats of the long bitter Civil war from which it has just emerged. Very little liberties are afforded under the Martial law and although people are treated fairly by the military disagreements are unavoidable and sometimes action against people has to be taken. However the death sentence is seen as immoral and is so illegal.

Economy - State owned and run economy that has suffered greatly from the Equestrian Civil War. What little infrastructure remains is in disrepair and out of date. The country is currently also suffering a debt crisis after extensive borrowing during the war leading up to huge debt and loans and the current dilapidated state of the nation as a whole. There currently isn't enough wealth to go around.

Culture - Tomorrow...

History - Tomorrow...

Automation Policy - Whatever feels right at the time.

I don't care about Malta! I was just responding to CivG's comment.

As I've said before, I don't care about Malta, just the independence of Carthage.

Carthage does not deserve independence, it's rightfully a Greek territory.

No, it's rightfully an independent nation with its capital in Tunis rather than Athens. The Carthaginian people deserve independence, even if it means surrendering Malta and paying reparation fees to the Greeks, which I do urge to avoid conflict.

It would really help if they actually had an opinion on the matter.

So you'd be fine if your South American colonies rebelled against you?

@AA - It would. :p

TF, can you please post Carthage's opinion on current events?

Provided you make peace with Carthage, I won't interfere if you decide to create a colony in Africa, totaling the amount of land lost to Carthage when they rebelled.

Angola would also like to present a deal for peace to be made between Carthage and Greece -
Carthage relinquishes Malta
Carthage pays 50% of its income for 3 turns to Greece
