What We Know

G’day fellow Tinfoil Soldiers! ConspiracyTalk has swelled the last few months because of all the summer thrillers I think. While we welcome new members on our forum, we can no longer take for granted that the Common Knowledge is actually all that common. So, I wrote up this post for all our new guests and will sticky it to the top of the board so EVERYONE can see it. Suggestions are welcome.
Gnomes, Assassins, and Templars
The Gnomes of Zurich, Society of Assassins, and the Templars go back hundreds of years. The Gnomes of Zurich are a cabal of elite bankers that bankrolled both sides of the centuries-long conflict between the Templars and the Assassins and, with their vast financial clout, managed to stand in-between the two groups without themselves being destroyed. Even the end of the Crusades has done little to stem the tide of the secret war between the Assassins and Templars.
The Bermuda Triangle and the Network
I’ll admit that the records on these two societies are sparse. Ever since Flight 19, the Bermuda Triangle has been host to its share of weirdness, but no one really agrees as to whether it is just the geographical area or some group, or something, operating from within the Triangle. Likewise, the Network is probably the newest of secret societies, having been born with the rise of Internet. Some forum goers claim the two are close, maybe even related, in the Grand Conspiracy, but I wouldn’t know much about that.
Servants of Cthulhu and the Bavarian Illuminati
Eh, I’m only putting this for completion, and because of the great mythos around the two. The Cthulhu mythos is part of the Lovecraft lore, a series of tales and stories centered on Old Gods of immeasurable power. Some people think the story is true though and that Servants of Cthulhu, today, are hellbent on…something. I really don’t know. Same with the Illuminati. Everybody from Jay-Z to the Post Office seems in on the Illuminati. Lately, some new users have been trying to link the two in the Grand Conspiracy, but like I said, whatever.
Shangri-La and the Discordian Society
Well, one is a story. The other a joke religion. Neither conspiracies are really close to the other secret Societies in the Grand Conspiracy.

Flagg Tips
1. You may want to start off creating new groups. To create a new group, use an existing group you control (right now, everyone only owns their secret society) and use Support on an adjacent cell (above, bottom, or sides, not diagonal).
2. The Network and its groups have a special action called Bank Power. Power than is banked can be transferred and spent like Megabunks from the Treasury. Banked Power is more effective than Treasuries on defense.
3. Transferring Megabucks (MBs) or Banked Power between two groups requires a Proxy Chain linking the two end groups. As it stands, none of the groups border each other in any way, meaning no transferring yet.
4. A group can infiltrate, neutralize, or attack to destroy any group that isn’t a secret society, even if they don’t border.
5. If two groups are trying to create a group in the same cell, RNG determines victor.
6. Having orders sent in within 24 Hours of an update being posted nets all your groups an Early Bird Bonus which will be deposited into your Secret Society’s Treasury at the start of next turn.
7. Roleplaying will earn a Roleplaying Bonus, which again is some extra MB in the Treasury.
8. Failure to follow the orders format outlined in the OP will result in penalty.
