Movie/TV/game soundtracks have come a long way - they're my go to for listening when I want to relax, work, read, whatever. I'd even say that they're the new "classical" music.

Share your favorite soundtracks here! Or argue with my definition/judgment of classical music...:mischief:

Here are some of my current favorites:

I love the Endless Legend soundtrack, the best part of that game in my opinion.

And of course the Homestuck soundtrack, which is what got me into it in the first place.

But except that both tend to be mostly instrumental, I don't think that soundtracks and classical music have that much in common. Unless it's a classical music soundtrack of course.

Ahh.. atmospheric music

In this realm, Vangelis is king

Ah yes...this one is most excellent.

There's always Civ4, where the game soundtrack is actual classical music.

Repackaged trash!

The Lord of the Rings was good. I like the Isengard theme because it is an unusual 5/4 beat.

LOTR is quite good, but I'm afraid I burned out on it a few years back.

Ooh, thanks for these! I hadn't discovered them.
