Splitting up the group

I was wondering how can you split up your workers and warriors? I have my workers grouped in two and my warriors grouped in 3 - can I seperate them so they can each do their own thing?

Click on the stack of units you want to seperate, then click on the "seperate group" icon in the mission select section of the screen.

Unless I am looking in the wrong place (which I very well could be) I am not getting the option to split them up. Do they have to travel in 3s (warriors) and 2s (workers). Maybe that is something new for this game? I've played older civs and they traveled as 1, maybe this is the default for this game?

Oh, maybe you are simply mistaking "having three warriors" and "my Warrior unit is pictured as three warriors standing side-by-side", in fact. It's confusing when you're new. There is an option in the, well, Options, Graphics tab, named "Single-unit graphics", that when checked pictures 1 Warrior as 1 Warrior instead of a group of 3.

The group is both a cute animation and a way to see how damaged a land unit is.
