Life has begun to flourish upon this small, unnamed world. While sill quite primitive, and confined to a few dozen smll Primordial pools, the diversity is astonishing. Shall we take a look?
First, we have what we call the Etruina. Having developed a pair of grasping tendrils, and some basic Cilia, it spends most of it's time moving slowly around, like the majority of the other filter-feeders. And when one of the several predators moves to attack it, seeks to avoid it. Using it's superior control and it's tendril to Lithely push off the attacking cell, it has a hight then usual survival rate.
Next, we have the Xeonii, and opportunistic Feeder, and Possibly the first predator to evolve on this planet. Almost twice the size of other cells, it attacks by simply engulfing it's target with it's massive bulk. While a lot of the other cells can easily move to avoid this attack, there are still plenty of cells for it to feed upon.
The third cell we stumble upon is the Chip. Aggressive, and territorial, I uses it's large bulk and sharp horn to aggressively repel any nearby cells. While this strategy has yet to meet real success, neither is the Chip doing to badly.
Ah, now the fourth cell, the Oshidi, is a marvel. Tricky to find, it spends most of it's time zipping along via it's primitive Aqua-jet, which allows it to move at much greater speed then any of the other cells. But it unfortunately can rarely see where it is going, it's sheer speed blinding it. Still, If it dose run into another cell, It is rarely fatal, at least for the Oshidi. For it has developed a needle-like horn, which can puncture almost any cell that gets in it's way.
Cell number five is known as the Ganneum Ruebus. One of the first plant-like cells, it is surprisingly mobile, possessing a tail-like flagella, which it uses to move, to avoid the other cells and find the best spots to take in the light. You can often find dozens of these small cells clustered together.
The sixth cell is the manipulator. We call it Adam. With quicker reaction time and higher replication speed then the other cells, it has thrived. While it is not an exceptional cell by any other means, it has developed some tendrils to push itself out of the way from other cells that seek to attack it.
The Basta is the odd one out of these new cells. It has developed a strange form of getting nutrition, Known as Chemosynthesis and has quickly sunk to the the bottom of the pool to feed. with only one other type of cell nearby, it has prospered.
Very similar to the original cell zero, the Magnus Blobbus has done nothing but grow. Bigger, and more powerful then cell zero, it dose tend to react a bit faster then most other cells, and the increase in size has not slowed it's reproduction at all.
The Eve is one of the most passive cells being somewhat immobile. But It's fast reproduction rates, fast reflexes, and external cell wall has partially made up for this.
The most successful of the new predators, the Hairy Cells relies on it's fine control to out maneuver it's prey cell, and attack the cells where they are the weakest. This has proved very successful, and only the Oshidi and those cells with thick exterior cell walls are not preyed upon by it.
Energy, that is what the Expomanus is all about. It seems to worship the light, and has a very fast rate of reproduction, though this seems to slow down Slightly during the night..
OOC: Note, please, come up with evolutions. Some of you got some ideas. I will be adding some each turn, but I am mostly depending upon you for them. Poison, other senses, oh an aqua cannon? Come up with some thing unusual, Please. Creativity is the name of the game here!
Also, you can improve existing evolutions by investing another evolution into it.
Your cell has three slots for feeding method. You can devote all three to a single method of feeding, or across three different method. Mix and match, or devote to a single method and excel at it.
and here is the map, so the speak.
stats update momentarly.
Next update.. sometime in the 24 hours after 6PM Saturday Mountain Time.
