Thank you Sima for a fun game, in some ways its a pity microsoft didnt put up a bit more of a fight, but then we might have struggled. As it was looks like we beat Linux's SS by 8-12 turns. It sure was fun running around in the modern ages with tons of MAs - they absolutely ripped through pre-MI opponents.
Thank you Sima, tupac and Tone, it was a pleasure playing with such high quality team-mates

Tupac, Andronicus, and Tone - thank you all for a good game. It was quite fun watching the replay. I'm certainly glad we managed to finish this.

I'd also like to thank all the lurkers as well for nagging us to keep the game going. No idea yet when I'll be able to start another SG to entertain you, but I'm happy I can count on you for your support.

Yes, MA's are very cool. When I am in a game where I manage to use them, I'll get to see it for myself. Congratulations on beating Linux!

A Report to all who do not have the Google mod downloaded:
You can't finish the game without downloading the mod. It says you win by domination, then some message, then it crashes.

A minor bug report:
it finished just fine this time, but it wouldn't play the replay!!!!

Well done guys! Sorry that I dropped out. I just coudn't get back into the game once I moved house. (Apart from SGOTM I'm still sticking to solo games until the summer hols arrive.)

How long did you wait after you hit the Play button? (I assume you *did* hit the Play button? ) It started playing fine on my Mac, but I've learnt that replay takes a while to start for a late game save, so I left it for over 30 seconds.

Replay didn't work for me either.

However have you got/heard of Dianthus' CRp suite of utilities? MapStat is probably the best known one but CRpViewer gives a replay with all key moments in the game. Let me know if you need a link.

Just read Alan's post and tried again. I had to wait more than a minute but then it kicked in and the replay is running as I type this. I guess you say that this shows the superiority of macs over PCs, Alan?

(That's twice in two days that I've had to swallow my pride and listen to your words of wisdom. )

No, I didn't wait, but it played when I waited about 90 seconds...
In vanilla, does it say in the replay when Golden Ages Start and GL's are born?
Because it didn't when I played the replay. Otherwise it worked just fine.
Interesting thing about the replay: There were very few cities captured by an AI from another AI. Just becuase I want to, I'll post them; hope this isn't spammy :

1. SunOs (Sun Microsystems) and OS/360 (IBM) were captured by Linux, culture flip?
2. Road Runner, an AOL city, was captured by Apple during the AOL-Apple war. It was then recaptured about 6 turns later
Also, there may have been a few I missed.
