SSNES: Fall of Wu'di

From: Ramon
To: Delenlor

Thank you. We too congratulate you on your victories against the Wu'di. A defensive alliance would be most usefull, as would a trade route be. We agree.

Explosions, acid rains, geochaotic detonations.....all hell broke loose. However being a man of great power,he escaped to safety, but at a great cost.He was traped, like being in a prison of some kind.It vexed him greatly. Then the Avatar appeared. It spoke with an godly voice "Even though the end outcome wasnt what I hoped for,you did well and have deserved the final rest in the Rift...

However your work is not yet done as I have chosen you to be my champion. In the vast spaces of the Mist we have created many worlds.Yours was the first and perhaps the most tragic of them all.Now another tribe that admires ambition and power has sworn allegiance to me and I have promised them a great almost godlike leader. That leader is you.Even if you fail,do not worry for your have earned your reward. Now go and enlighten the people, show them what power is and lead them to greatness."

BRRAAZZZT!!!!A warp portal opened and sucked him in.He felt like he was broken into 50 pieces, then sucked in and stretched like a spaghetti. The journey didnt last for long though it was quite memorable.BRRAAZZZT!!!!The portal opened once more and 50 warped pieces of grey goo came out it.The Council was shocked and amazed at the same time. With a powerful magic they were reassembled into a man-like figure and the goo dissipated......and there he was,the Dark Lord with a heart of gold.Seth Dethos.

What is this? I know Seth Dethos, yes. What I'm asking is why you're posting a story about him in this thread. You better PM me about this one...

Who is Seth Dethos?

Yup. Illyria's leader. He had a son as well, if I remember correctly. But what he's doing here is beyond me... Are you trying to join or something, Cleric?

Yes I will make the template later....

Er... The problem is that I don't have room for anymore players... With the colors, you see. I can't have more nations as they will start to blend together on the map. It's hard to distinguish as it is, and I had to change colors back and forth in order to make those close to eachother be far from eachother and stuff...

But wait...

Ach! Jaid'Almain is gone. You can be navy blue, then.

Sure. Join up.

OK, everyone, Cleric and TerrisH have just joined. I will be off to a three days' vacation now, so I won't post anything new that while. This means that I will crave your orders in by Thursday again, since I will do the update on Friday. Anything later than that will only mean the death of this NES as everyone will gradually lose interest.

I'm just posting this in advance so noone even suspects that this NES is dead, m'kay? Now get those orders in!

Konahn growled as the predator approached. fro many days he had followed and tracked this beast.

It's scales glistened in the slight mist of the waterfall. it's main drenched as it drank from the pool. behind it, it's tail lay in the dirt, curling slightly, the stinger laying in the water.

the Chimera was relaxed, calm. it's belly was full, the Corpse of it's latest prey laying nearby, half eaten.
one of the villages precious cows. and there were no predators in these mountains that would even thing of attacking it.

Except for Konahn. with a sudden rush of motion, he burst out of the bush and threw his Iron dagger at the beasts tail, severing it before the chimera could bring it into play. even as the breast turned and roared with rage and pain, Konahn was upon it, his Longsword drawn. with a quick action, he ducked under the great beast's paw, as the beast sought to dimember him.

but it was to late for that. with a single lunge from his now crouched position, he pierced the chimeras's heart. leaving the sword where it has, he quickly dashed back, out of the range of the Great beast death throes.

No longer would it hunt the villages cows. no longer would the people of the mountain fear it. it's tail would be his spear, and it's hide would be his cape. and he would soon rule this land..

@Bellfern & Westshire
We yearn for a reply!

@Jalapeño: You're starting a trade route? *GASPAWESHOCK* ;)

He had walked dimly lit corridors many times before. The two guards escorting him to the council room were short sturdy men with black beards and helbards. Their armors were burnished 'til they glimmered in the light from the braziers hanging from the shadowed vaults above. Decorating the walls were wall carpets illustrating grand battels fought long ago, before the founding of Shaba, and even the empire.

At the end of the corridor he clould faintly make out the two doors leading into the council room. At either side of the door stood two identical guards to the ones escorting him. The wound in his thigh had almost healed now. The painful piercing hurt he had felt earlier had subsided, but the memories of the battels would never fade. He knew that now. All the cruelty and human brutality.

"The general Valcon has arrived from the south. Inform the council!" The left guard announced.
"Welcome back general" one of the guards at the door said bowing. His name was Dimando, Valcon thought. A few moments later the door opened and he walked through, alone.

The council room was not as the name implied. It was not a room, but a grand hall. Large pillars lined the walls, a small table with a pitcher with spiced wine stood in the corner, and two servants beside it. A grand isle led up to the semicircular table where the council of nine sat. Four to each side of Luxarus, head councilor. Valcon bowed to each of the members giving a small greeting.

"What news from the front?" Luxarus asked in his deep booming voice.

"Excelent sire. Everything went as planned. We recieved no attacks from the empire before summer, so we continued with the campaign and have expanded our borders south and west. We met little resistance, but those who resisted were crushed. The nomads to the south has claimed their independence but have not founded their own nation so I don't think we will get any trouble from them."

"That is great news. I don't know if you have heard but the Jaid'Almein has been crushed, their nation did not manage the summer."

"That is sad news. I hate to see friends and allies die." The sad expresssion on his face brought a tear to the councilors eye.

"Why the sad face general?"

"We have lost many good men in the fight for our freedom, and we will loose more, but that cant be helped." Valcons exspression hardened "I will ask you for more troops. We need to streghten the cavalary division and try to find more adepts. I dont think we will have this much luck next summer. The recent political events in the empire makes them crave for war. We must be prepared."

"We are aware of that general, we have already mobilized the city guard"

"The city guard?" he exclaimed "but they are useless! In a real fight they will do more dying than fighting!"

"We are aware of that" Luxarus replied in a calm voice " but it helps the morale of the commoners. They feel like they are a part of the rebellion, and that makes them easier to guide."

"I guess you are right" sighing "but still..." he left it hanging. " I better get back to the front, some of the field commandors are a bit too fond of killing prisoners, and you ordered them to be treated as regular prisoners not animals."

"Fare well Valcon, and may the luck of heavens be with you. And we will make sure that Sufro incerases the training of new recruits. You will have your army as you asked." A genereal murmur of farewell accompanied him as he limped out of the council room.
