SSNES: Fall of Wu'di

OOC: Tossi, I'm posting this OOC message not because it will (or should) make any difference in the NES, but because I don't us to have a grudge that lasts between NESes. From an out of game standpoint, my actions were about the worst possible things to do if I wanted to survive. You have a much bigger army, an economy 2-3 times as large as mine, and had shown every sign of leaving me alone. But from an ingame perspective, my actions make perfect sense. Delenlor would not simply accept the destruction of their homeland, especially for what they (and I) felt were circumstances beyond their control and not of their choosing, but would rather attempt to make their destroyers suffer. So I feel completely justified in my actions. Just don't hold it against me, okay?

OOC: No, I don't carry over grudges for ingame behaviour. However I can get quite mean when it gets to ooc grudges...

About your actions: imo this is only understanable for an insane despotic ruler or something like that. Only if revenge is more important then life your actions make sense to me. This can be easily true for a ruler and a small minority of the people, but for the large part of Delanor's population who are going to die this action is not realy reasonable. However I don't know if I would have been strong enough to firstly think of my people in a similar situation..
Thats the way I see it and that also my little problem now.. I'm not not good at genociding the helpless.

Obviously there is no double alliance of Horus and Ramon which wants to conquer the world. Such claims are totally taken out of the air. Maybe Delanor is angry about Horus not supporting them in their devilous actions.

I can only ask you to let this battle be between Ramon and Delanor. I do not want war with your noble nations.

Reply:

We never said anything about Horus. We do not hold grudges against that nation, and in fact honor them and recognize Seth Dethos' lordship. We do not believe our conflict with Ramon will interest them at all, since they are after all under siege by Barragh and have plenty of challenges domestically.

Furthermore, we will never break our alliance with the Eastern Empire. We were not able to defend it when you invaded it because we had a threat from Pashawan on our own borders. Now, we indeed see our failure to save the Eastern Empire, but wish at least to honor our pact by relieving their problems through diplomacy. We are not oath-breakers. We keep to our word, and if Delenlor cannot respect that and thus our terms, we will not render aid when Ramon inevitable attacks your nation.


If anyone ELSE than tossi acts on this, I will note that as well.

2. Its obvious that Rollux is not friendly towards us.

Relax. Everything you do against Rollux is not penalized because of this. If you attack them suddenly, or write in your orders to intercept reinforcements coming from Rollux when you attack Delenlor (or something even more shaky) I will judge it accordingly. Just don't say "because they are allied" or anything like that. You don't know it. It's not harder than pretending you didn't know. And from what I gather you are pretty good to stay and act IC.
