[SECRET]
To Cairo
From Shaba

Greetings friends, alas we will not be able to go to war this year, due to domestic problems. Our soldiers have just come back from the battlefield, and their morale is low. They want to spend some time with family and children. I know Shaba promised to give their aid. We will not sit and watch what may become the demise of our good allies, therefore we will send a force to help defend Cairien territories. Shaba will also be sending recon. forces into Pashwaan to be able to devise a more efficient and devastating battle plan.

Regards Nadime Senkrist

He hated sentry duty. Walking around in the cold mud, tired and hungry. All his peers were eating or sleeping. His entire body was shivering and a bone weariness had settled in every limb. All he wanted to do was sleep. But duty called. It was dusk, and the fog, it was not really fog, just small drops of water which didnt seem to hit him unless he moved. The only sound he heard were the sloppy sound of boots sticking in the mud. The silence always made his mind race. He never could hold his focus. He was glad the plauge was over, but the result was just as bad, if not worse.

They were close, he knew that. Why else would they need sentries inside Shaban borders? Rumors had it that they had attacked a city. Walked right through, feeding on the victims of their slaughter. The city guard could do nothing. He put a reassuring hand on the hilt of his sword. "Stop it," he cursed. " I am not afraid," he said to himself. He would not give into fear. His commander did not give into fear, so he would not either. Remy Rupert was a great man! He had saved his life once. One careless moment and he nearly lost his head.

A low moaning sound suddenly caught his attention. Straining his ears, he heard the slow shuffeling of many feet. Moaning, like they were continuosly breathing their last breath. Through the fog he could dimly make out the humanoid shapes, but some were savagely deformed. Wearing different items of bloddy clothing they were walking right towards their night encampment. Slowly he unsheeted his sword, carefully stepping behind a tree before he whistled. Keeping a close eye on the walking dead, he noticed his hand was shaking. Not from the cold. He cursed under his breath and forced it to be still. He was not that good with a sword. He could hold his own in a fight but not against more than one.

Now he heard the clirring sound of armor and the wheezing sound of swords being unsheeted. Dimly he could make out Rupert sitting on his heavy war horse overlooking the horde of undead. Rupert raised his sword and gave the motion to attack. Charging they all shouted what had now become the credo of the Band of Shaddowbane: "Pain is temporary, glory last for ever!"

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

The Band of Shaddowbane is led by Remy Rupert and is an elite unit whithin the shaban army dedicated to the sole purpous of killing undead.

@SS: Ill give you the details on PM along with my orders

Okey dokey! :) Not only do I see diplo, there's a story as well!

I'm trying to write something but the ideas just wont start flowing....I blame school.

I on the other hand blame SS AND school for nesing. SS because he "tricked" me to join, now there is now way back... curse him :p and school because it is just so boring I need something else to do.

Umm, I didn't trick you? It's not my fault that NESing is addictive! :p

Oooh, nice corset. I mean good point. The council thingy, I mean. But as long as Seth Dethos is portrayed as a despotic and  ruler, things are going to progress like now. Better find a way to deal with it.

So am I penalized for having an evil personality?I noticed my confidence and culture went down.(you should write that into the update as well)

Well, Seth Dethos was the Culture minister as well, wasn't he? :p Besides, your culture went down when a wave of Delenlor refugees came from the south.

And yes, having an obviously  ruler is often quite damaging towards confiedence. Not that I don't like Sethy or you. I'm just MODing.

In the good old days, the people loved it when you were evil and cruel to their enemies(note to the enemeis, not to the people). What is this like some kind of liberal pinko commie population?

Shouldnt generals be praised and loved(as it goes in RL),considering how many times I saved their arses?

Nation Name: Delenlor jalapeno_dude

Economy: Failing (2/1/3/1.5/+1)

So can I spend 1 of my 1.5 banked points? I'm going to assume so, and send orders with that in mind, so I really hope I can...

Orders have been sent. Yay!

Another day dawns on the lands of Horus. The sun is rising slowly, sheding its warm bright light on the ebony red tower of the god-hero Seth Dethos.

Who is Seth Dethos, you ask?He was the leader of the rebellion,he went against the numberless armies of Semnon the Headless and prevailed. Not long after Barragh the Brute came charging from the north, but was slowed down by several tricks.Barragh however ruled with an iron fist and had a massive trained and disciplined army, who followed his orders to the letter, for they knew the price of failure. Finally Barragh overcame the magical defenses and the two armies clashed on the field of battle. The Black Legion of Horus and Seth himself fought with great valour, many Wudi died from the deathbolts he fired from his hands and a lot more from his deadly mace, his outstanding kill record earned him the nickname White Devil.Nonetheless the Wudi were like ants, easy to kill but too great in numbers. The Legion retreated and entrenched themselves in what was called the Deadline. For if the defensive line fell, the capital would burn and fall as well.Luckily Seth had a backup plan,Barragh was assassinated and his army was drowned by a giant tidal wave which quickly froze into permafrost ice.It faitfully shows the terror of the drowning soldiers, who are now frozen in solid ice, much like a sculpture. Many artists have deemed it a work of art.Sure most of those artists are in the asylum, but that's not the point.

But that is all history,he disliked dwelling on it and he himself was growing quite old. What was he...1000-1200 or something years old.His young black hair turned into a dull grey color, but he didnt mind it.Prior to the battle in the Neck of Barragh he hasn't donned his battle armor in many years. However being a god-hero wasnt without advantages,he was strong as ever his remarkable age having no effect. The battle armor is collecting dust now and Seth doubted he would get a chance to use it again.

Sun shined upon Seth as he was on the balcony pondering how he got to this world. The god of death Grenth he was speaking to was silent for a long time now,and it came to him that that the god didnt probably exist at all and he brought himself to this world.Seth was as someone once called him an insanomancer, too much casting of insanity spells back in the old world drove him a little mad.But as his powers were drained when he came to this world,so was his madness.Unfortunately his loyal servant Baldrick was not a figment of his imagination.

He looked to the west and could see Bara-Dur,the tower being Black as the Void wasnt too hard to spot. Its construction was slow but steady, soon it would be finished and he would move there. The title of the Arch-Mage of the academy sounded good to him.

What plagued him now though was well the plague. The alchemichal labs in the basement were working 24/7 trying to understand the nature of the plague as well as the undead it spawned.Little progress was being made and that didnt make him feel better.Seth acquired a touch of paranoia, something larger was behind all this, something that has great power. He wondered if all these new nations that rose in the Fall of Wudi were a part of its plan, after all dozens of divided nations are lot easier to fight then an united empire...

His apprentice Katrina then stumbled in,she was young and reminded Seth of himself when he was young, minus the genocides and mass destruction of course. She had black hair, pretty blue eyes and a passion for the dark arts.Katrina was quite beautiful, but deadly. He was close to her and they formed a kind of father-daughter relationship, perhaps compensating for the loss of his son in the Purge of the Old World, who knows but he didnt care.

Katrina:Seth the Torini diplomats have arrived. They have asked for your presence in the Hall of the Majestic Council
Seth: Me? what do they need me for? I'm just an old general.
Katrina: The Majestic Council of Twelve is also there.Torini diplomats said they had an idea. One that will affect you as well as the council.
Seth: Very well.Tell them I will arrive there shortly.

A young artist was painting the sunrise that very same day,he noticed Seth and drew a very a dramatic impression...
