Mongolians Strike Back!!
After being surprise attacked by the Chinese, the Mongolians created a HUGE counter-attack. Only a huge Chinese effort, combined with the building of a great wall, was able to stop the Mongolians.
The attack came mostly in the east, which was fortunate for Mongolia because the Chinese had begun conscruction of a wall in the west. The wall, built on Mongol territory, stopped all Mongol horsemen coming to the west.
The recent Chinese use of battle tactics was attributed to a man named Sun Tzu, who has been setting up military academies all over China.
Rebellion in Africa!
As Meroe officialy converted to Islam, a rebel group formed in north Meroe calling themselves the African Liberation Front. The group spread all through Meroe and Axum, and was blamed for random killings in Rome, but aquired no territory in Egypt. The members are reported to have taken a vow to, "Kill all non-Africans within Africa until we die."

Rome suffers a similar fate in Tunisia and Britain, but makes peace with the Germans. They lower taxes, which does not help the economy, but makes the emperor very popular.

The Chinese-Mongolian war recently continued with the Chinese gaining ground. The Mongolians now have next to no territory in China, and the Great Wall had become useless. On the Western Front, Sun Tzu himself used brilliant flanking manuevers to crush enemy Mongols. Emperor Amirsan, in the east, wasn't as lucky, but got back all stolen Chinese territory. In undefended Central Mongolia, however, the Mongolians did advance.

The peaceful nation of Kush recently took over Suren, Saka, and parts of the Parthian Empire in a war of agression. The Kushan Empire has tripled in size, making it a major world power.
