Holodeck would let you simulate everything else.

The warp capable ship would be my second choice.

Photon Torpedoes....? Screw that, I want Quantums.

The holodeck. then you can really play Civ. III :)

Hmm… An oddly dressed, bald, French guy suddenly materializing in my living room…

I would tell him to ‘bugger off’ and go back to, whatever ‘Star Trek Convention’ is the nearest… ;)

On the other hand, that Romulan Ale and Klingon Bloodwine sounds pretty good… :yeah:

Holodeck is very tempting, but the practical value of the replicator is just too overwhelming. Infinite money, infinite food, infinite anything small enough to fit in a microwave basically.
Can't beat that.

I guess just saying, "Make me 5 kilos of gold nuggets, please." would be awful nice.

LOL.

Yeah, instead of 'Tea...Earl Grey...Hot' it would be 'Gold....Nuggets...A Lot'

i'd want the torpedo launcher. force the world into peace (maybe with me as dictator). then again i'd just get assasinated and it would get stolen.

i'd want the replicator, but where am i gonna get the energy it needs to make all that stuff?

the cloaking device would be nice (assuming it could be a 'personal' cloaking device), but that would lead me to a life of crime.

the holodeck would be nice, but i think it would get old prety fast. i dont like the idea of VR very much, remember that episode with Moriarty where they didnt know if they were still inside or not.

so my final choise is: Teleporter

before anyone knows i have one:
teleport some cash from a bank vault.
the 'magic' i could do would get me all the groopies i could ever want.

once the world knows i have one:
convert a chair into pure energy and you can power the world for a month, lol.
i could monopolize the travel industry. :D
can you say "instant organ transplant"?
hell i could even go into crime fighting - "you come in and i'll shoot all of them......NOOOOO where did they all go?"

Vote- Replicator, for uses listed above.

Though I'd ask him what OS they're using for the 'really sweet computer', buy stock in whatever company that is, so just in case my replicator goes out my greatgreatgreatgreatgreat grandkids would be rich once that company inks the deal with Starfleet Command to be the OS supplier. :mischief:

No brainer: Holodeck.

I've often thought about this. I can't imagine all the things I'd love to experience by way of a holodeck --things throughout history, alternative realities, drive a tank, fly a plane, fly through space, etc. . . .

Technically speaking, the replicator and the transporter are really the same thing. Both take matter, and re-arrange it. (Yes, I read the technical manual, and I'm a geek).

I'd choose the transporter. Very useful for long distance relationships. :)

A holodeck!

Fools! Of course the only real choice is a warp-capable ship. The ability to go, now, to nearby planets and solar systems… :)

And to colonise them, to understand the working of the onboard reactor and of the warp drive. Then, you go and recolt a Nobel Prize, you become billionaire and the master of the universe by selling travels to your newly "acquired" planets.

All that is assuming that the onboard flight computer is working. If not, you might well end up in a black hole…

I want the ship. I want to visit other worlds.

I agree! I don't understand this fascination with the holodeck. Well, I do, I guess.

But it is in the end, after all, just a toy.

I'd take the Winebago from 'Space Balls' over any of the others.

Holodeck, human sexual needs fullfilled to the max.
