Star Trek unit preview thread

I tried it ingame, but unfortunately it doesn't look that great there... :(:(:( The satellites hardly stand out from the stars if it weren't that the sats are moving and subtle gradients in the white transparency (force field) will always appear as discreet ingame (large patches of white). Not sure if I could fix it for Civ III...

If the kind folks of BotF2 are interested, I'll be happy to pass it to them... :)

Edit: I asked Vuldacon for help, he's a real palette expert! :)

Todays ships: the Saladin Destroyer and the refitted Mars Battleship...

@Thor: the models you gave me just now contain another Ambassador and Constellation. Is there something wrong with the old ones I made? Also there is a second Thunderbolt fighter, but of completely different design... :crazyeye:

There is a 4 nacelle Klingon shipon the to do list, but I dunno the name...

@Flamand, nope nothing wrong with the ones you did. I just put all the models of a fleet list together to make sure I did not miss any. If they are already done, just ignore them.:)

As for the Thunderbolt, I puit it in the wrong file, it should be the TNG update for the Patrol ships.

@SOG, the TOS Klingon BB is called the B-10. The TNG Version of the BB is the Sword of Kahless IIRC.:)
As for the Mars and Yamato being the same, I do not know, but one of the ships listed in the Mars class that were built is the Yamato.

:nuke: Cheers, Thorgrimm :nuke:

Ok Thor, that will save me some work... :D

@SOG, I can tell you have never played star fleet battles.;) The Klingon B-10 was published BEFORE there was even a personal pc running games or TNG as a matter of fact.:D I am of the opinion that the ship you are talking about is just a B-10 in different terms. Since SFB is approved by Paramount and has been around since 1977.:)

@Flamand, sorry to make you think I was dissing your stuff, but it was for organizational reasons, I assure you.:D

No problemo :)

I will have to refresh my memory of that...the ship I am talking about may have been a step up from a B-10,, or it may have been the B-10 itself.

SOG, there was a rumor of a even larger ship being planned by the Klingons, but it was supposedly never built. It's code name was the B-11. Maybe they took that story one more step and called it the Sword of Kahless.:)

Cheers, Thor

Yeah I've been watching Enterprise Season Four on DVD and I'm really beginning to miss that series.

It was diffinitely going to happen in season five. We would have gotten to see Minotaur Fighters like in the above picture, the appearence of the evil starfleet captain...and so much else...

Hmm, won't that be entirely invisible with the space terrain?
I'm planning to adjust the terrain a bit, maybe with dark blue space instead of black...

@Sword: you are actually admitting that you MISS Enterprise?? So politically uncorrect...! But I agree, they cancelled it just when it started to get interesting... I'm wondering about the ships they would have used in those episodes, would it be the "pharmaceutical" fleet I made earlier (and in your link, thanks! :)) or some completely restyled NXstyle fleet? Ah well, we'll never know...
@Thor: Is that link SoG posted the place where you got those pre-Feds units? Or were they conversions from somewhere else?
