I think I figured out the problem...

One of the sites... the zip file is titled:

Star+Wars+Mod+60%25-1.zip

and it is the one causing the problem...

the other link at rapidshare is good to go.

Alright I uploaded it on badongo.
Hopefully that will work better.
Now to get started on units. Whoooooooooo

Ok, I see a new loading screan with this mod. Will this mod add a mod scenario, or does it completely replace the game.

NEW_Rome

Replace and eventually a scenario

Wowzers! I just downloaded the new version and I'm very impressed. Civmansam, excellent work! :goodjob:

There's alot of stuff in this version that I wasn't expecting like the new sounds, tech tree and you even up my dark side background in as a loading screen. Can I try to make a set of loading screens like the game has originally?

I'm gonna try it out tomorrow (I'm studying for exams today :( ).

Once again great job.

I just tried playing the mod and I found a few bugs (or maybe things you forgot to do Civmansam).

1. Most of the leaders are all (Industrious, Creative) for their traits and I think they should be mixed up more.

2. In the civilopedia, for most the leaders it says "Lived: Unknown Born - Died BC or AD." Obviously that's not right for Star Wars.

3. None of the flags are working! I have no idea why since I made many of them.

4. Some of the civilopedia entries for leaders and civs are incomplete.

5. On the technologies advisor screen, some of the technologies overlap. Here's a screenshot (you may have to zoom in, but I highlighted some examples).

1. Yeah I'll change that
2. Well I'm not sure about the dates. Can you get them for me?
3. Trying to fix for a long time but just can't find the problem
4. Need to add them
5. That will be fixed in latest patch 0.605

Here are the dates for the leaders birth/death. I'm pretty sure I got them all.

The star wars date system is just like our BC/AD system. BBY and ABY mean "Before" and "After" the Battle of Yavin. Episode I took place in 32 BBY, Episode IV took place in 0 BBY, and Episode VI took place in 4 ABY for example.

Pellaeon - Birth 57 BBY, Death: still alive
Thrawn - Birth: unknown, Death: 9 BBY
Carth Onasi - Birth: 3,994 BBY, Death: unknown
Bastila Shan - birth and death unknown
Darth Malak - Birth: unknown, Death: 3,956 BBY
Darth Nihilus - Birth: unknown, Death: 3,951 BBY
Emperor Palpatine - Birth: 82 BBY, Death: 4 ABY, spirit destroyed 11 ABY
Darth Vader - Birth: 41 BBY, Death: 4 ABY
Canderous Ordo - Birth: 4,014 BBY, Death: unknown
Grievous - Birth: unknown, Death: 19 BBY
Count Dooku - Birth: 102 BBY, Death: 19 BBY
Tikkes - Birth: unknown, Death: 19 BBY
Mon Mothma - Birth: 48 BBY, Death: 24 ABY
Princess Leia - Birth: 19 BBY, Death: still alive
Tarfful - birth and death unknown
Chewbacca - Birth: 200 BBY, Death: 25 ABY
Prince Xizor - Birth: 104 BBY, Death 3 ABY
Savan - birth and death unknown
Shimrra Jamaane - Birth: unknown, Death: 25 ABY
The One - Birth: unknown, Death: 3,956 BBY
Borsk - Birth: 31 BBY, Death: 27 ABY
Jabba the Hutt - Birth: 596 BBY, Death: 4 ABY

Unit time!
Does anyone have unit suggestions

I have suggestions. Since our game will start at the end of the modern era, at the beginning you need to have access to modern armor, ICBMs and things like that.

Ground Units
Trooper (rebel commandoes, clonetroopers, stormtroopers)
Jedi and Dark Jedi (if you know the ways of the Force)
Gunships (LAAT clone transports)
Large Walker (like the AT-AT)
Small Walker (like the AT-ST)

Starfighters
All-purpose starfighter Xwings or TIE fighters)
Interceptors (Awing or TIE Interceptor)
Bombers (Ywing or TIE Bomber)
Heavy Starfighters (Bwing or TIE Defender)

Capital Ships
All the capital ships except for Corvettes can carry fighters and other vehicles
Star Dreadnought (Super Star Destroyer)
Star Destroyer
Assault Cruiser (Acclamator I-class troop transport, used like a transport ship)
Star Frigate (Nebulon-B Frigate or Carack-class Light Cruisers)
Corvettes (CEC C90 Corvette or DP-20 Corellian Gunships)

Other Units
Light Freighter (Millenium Falcon or Ebon Hawk)
Heavy Freighter (Gallofree GR-75 medium transport, used like work boats)
Shuttle (Theta or Lambda class shuttle, can only carry ground units but not vehicles)

I just got civ 4, cant wait to download mod on wi-fi at school.
just for reference, Dex (as in Dex's Diner Wonder) was a gun runner and smuggler so there may be more appropriate bonuses for this wonder.
Does anyone know the progamming language civ2 test of time was in...
seems to me that either the entire game or one of the core mods to it had a dual layered space/land map.

It's a good idea DarthTaran, but Civ4 uses Python ans XML which barely existed when Civ2 came out. Even if it is possible to have a dual-map, I think it will take the SDK to do it.

one thing to the birth and death dates of leaders. I read a trilogy of books, featuring Grand Admiral Thrawn, taking place several years after the victory of the rebellion and the founding of the new republic. Books are called sth like "Heir to the empire", "dark side of the force" and "last command", And searching the net i found that he took control of the imperial fleet 5 years after episode 6, so 9aby and he died in the last volume so maybe 10aby or so. Even found that there is another book, where a clone of him is taking part, but clones don't count so, i'd say thrawns death 10ABY.
No this means crap for the mod (cause its maybe one of the tiniest issues imaginable), but just read the books, and so...

listen to what he says that little italian is a living god!!!!!!!!!

Regarding your flagproblems:

Are the flags supposed to look like this?

some of the flags simply make no difference in the game cause of poor contrast(examples wookie, senate)
other flags seemed to me they were meant as Decal Flags cause they were just made of two colors but the image wasn't on the alphachannel.

If everything shows white on the pics here this is because I have set all sec.playercolors to white otherwise it won't work on my game. would be nice of you to think about doing that too for future releases and give different primary colors to all players instead. As well as posting a second set of flags with a white alphachannel for those who have whiteflagproblems(just needed for flags which have a black alpha normally, not needed for Decalflags).

I guess some of the flags already had a white alphachannel because they showed on my game without any fix. This would explain why they don't work for you maybe.

Hope this helps.
