Star Wars: The Mod Strikes Back

Well, mrkingkong, go ahead and make a list of the races we need. Wookies, Nubians, everyone. We can sort them into races, resources, whatever later. After that, I'll compile a unit list for every race. That would help me quite alot. As for a website, I'll try to make one. I haven't done HTML in a while, so don't expect anything too fancy. I started working on a lightsaber Yoda last month, (cut-and-pasting a lightsaber on top of his cane), but it's really hard, so don't expect it soon. If anyone needs techs or cities, I can help with that, too.
BTW, thanks for welcoming me. I hope to become an active part of this mod.

Hey odin, here's a Unit List I made a few pages back. So are we making more civilizations like Naboo, Wookiees, Trade Fed, etc...; Because that would be cool and I have a big list of city names, leader names, and civ traits for those civs.

I made up a resource called "Iluminite" which is a rare material that radiates large amounts energy and light so it must be handled with care. It is used in large reactor cores and can be made into powerful turbolasers and weapons of mass destruction like the Death Star laser.

Apologies in advance that not much of the info and picture os the races are included, but i just couldnt find them.It is the complete list of races though, as far as i am aware of course (hopefull this is reliable)

Find the list in the Word document posted below... otherwise notify me and i will put the list on the forum. That might be a qicker method, but i have included info and pics where possible also...

I found a couple of other resources for your list mr kingkong that you might find handy.

The Unofficial Star Wars Encyclopedia

This one has info on 1136 races that have appeared in all the different Star Wars games, comics, and other Expanded Universe assets. It should include pictures, but for some reason I think the images are down right now.

I shall now get to work updating my species/race compendium. I only used 1 or 2 sources, as you can probably tell. Ill leave the other list up for now, but im currently working on an updated version.

You might want to check this site for a free host http://www.100webspace.com/index.html. That is if you haven't found one already. I've never used it or made a website before, but it does allow 100mb of space and 3gb of bandwidth.

I've made new updates to my Unit List

I've also completed compiling the units_32 icons for all the units that have been made. Most of the icons now have civ-color as well and I've included an index to find the icon #'s more easily.

Ok, I FINALLY finished the site. Two days, a personal record, . It looks good to me, and Sheep Monster and I will put up the first beta/version of the mod soon. I will post the link as soon as everything is loaded to the host. I'm going as fast as I can,

The site is now up!! Sorry about all the ads, they kind of take away from the atmosphere. If your explorer can't do javascript, skip the welcome page, and click to go to the home page. This site was a b**** to program and upload, but I had a bit of help on the hard parts with Front Page (the rest is all HTML coded by myself). Right now, pics of the races don't work, but I'll fix that tommorrow. It's kinda small, but I think you'll enjoy it. Hi guys!

I was browsing around the web looking for Star Wars Civ 3 stuff and stumbled upon this thread. I followed the links to the new site and it looks really cool! I had a look at the list of races and noticed that there were comments about pictures missing or not available for many races/characters. Have you ever considered the images from the Star Wars CCG? Regretfully Decipher has taken the site down of all the images, but I have them all if you need them.
For an example:
Barada:
No info is written about him at http://mobz.org/starwars/
but there's abit at http://www.starwars.com/databank/character/barada/index.html
That with the SWCCG image might be all you need. Let me know if you need the images.

Odin: That site is looking awesome! Hopefully i plan to update the list with every resource i have available (hopefuly, it will be done tonight). Also, im not that experienced with html, but mitght the pics not be working because i copy and pasted them off the internet (i beleive most of them were hyperlinks)?

micoke: Images would be really useful, thank you very much. Like i said, i only used a few sites for info (namely because i couldnt be too bothered looking for them ) so any additional stuff you want to give me or odin im sure would be appreciated.

That site's pretty good for a start.

There's one minor thing I keep noticing, just about everyone here is spelling "Wookiee" wrong, it has 2 E's.

Okay, @mrkingkong, the images aren't showing up because I haven't uploaded the nigh-forty-odd pictures onto angelfire yet, , don't worry, they'll be up.
