SGU is the third SG series currently in production slated for a late 2008 air date.
I just found these spoilers on GateWorld:
I just found these spoilers on GateWorld:
Spoiler :
I read a post on another site that said that the Stargate:Universe concept concerns a ship built by the ancients that delivers Stargates throughout the Universe.
The ninth Chevron is used as a device that allows transport to the ship. Even though the Ancients are gone the ship still continues its mission. The gist of the premise is that the Stargate program either stumbles onto the use for the ninth Chevron or it is revealed to them somehow. Maybe the ship contacts the Stargate in Atlantis to report about a problem. At any rate, the crew chosen for this mission would check up on these gates and go places the Ancients never seeded or have even visited before. Multiple galaxies, multiple civilizations. All with Stargates unexplored or even known about.
Hopefully, they won't shoot it all in Vancouver. Not every planet is a temperate rain forest. And maybe this time they will explore more of the planets they visit than just the city around the gate.
Maybe they'll run into a civilization similar to the Stargate series, defending their planet from forces seemingly out of their league.
I don't even know if this is true. It may be a spoiler or an unfounded rumor. And I don't know if it has been posted here before. I couldn't find it if it has been.
Yeah, it's true, only it's not one ship, it's two. The first one was sent out to plant stargates in unknown parts of space, and the second ship was to follow it, having a special stargate onboard whose operation requires the ninth chevron.
A news article was written, but never posted, at Gateworld.net. Someone accidentally stumbled upon it using google or something, but the page was never meant to be published until later. Darren Sumner, who runs the site, took the page down and forbade the anyone from talking about the spoilers, but I might as well confirm it here lol.
