staznesX: All Under Heaven

OOC: I agree dis. Your words are appreciated.

Since I'm now Prussia, I would like to know about any private conversations JTK had with other nations earlier. So if you did, please PM me about it.

OOC: Righto, taking La Serenissima. There isn't much on Venice in the alt-hist; can I assume that her affairs have progressed more or less the same as OTL?

Question, alex: How, in real-world terms, would you implement the restrictions on the size of the navy and on the Military Basic? Arms limitations weren't even possible to impose realistically in the 1920s and 1930s much less in the 1750s.

I'm Hungary again! Yay!

Good luck as France Panda!

And, for those who I sent PMs with diplomacy (and then PMs canceling diplomacy) I suppose I'll have to resend!

Yay.

OOC: We have both the resources and willpower to enforce it. We are not dealing with an equal.

So you're going to have hundreds of inspectors wandering throughout the country examining barracks and looking through every possible remote anchorage for evidence of violation of the Military Basic and naval clauses? You seem to have little concept of how easy it is to hide something in a country that's not even yours.

OOC: We have faith in Japan's sense of honor. ;) Of course dachs, I am sure it is a very simple process to build naval warships too.

Might I get an extension until Monday? Limited Internet access until I return Sunday night.

@propogandist, for you sure...I likely will not finish the update until Tuesday due to college move-in day being Monday.

To The Mighty French, King Philippe VII:
From The Great King Jyzsef II of Hungary:

Past events have done much to hurt the relations of our nations. Troubles in Italy has splittenered intrests for many and hurt but our nations in one way or another. Mainly so, the pain or relations have suffered.

It is my proposal that our nations seek to overcome past conflicts and settle disputes. The withdraw from Italy was a generous act but the French and we respect you greatly. Such an act gives hope that we may find friendship in the ashes of that mess.

But before we go any further, what do the French say in the issue? Is the plight for renewed relations a crusade that only Hungary has joined, or is the issue mutually with the People and Government of France?

I shall be joining this NES, undecided as which nation though.

TO: His Majesty, Jyszef II, King of Hungary
FROM: His Majesty, Philippe II, King of France

The Kingdom of France, of course, welcomes the overtures of peace from the Hungarian government. We have no quarrel with your nation, and though our interests have collided in the past, we do not see the need for future conflict, and extend to the Kingdom of Hungary the offer of a Non-Aggression pact, as a symbol of our commitment to the ideals of peace.

This offer is most generous, to not accept such would be foolhardy. Hungary thanks you and hopes that our nations may set an example for other nations, seeking conflict even while they burn in the fire.

Yeah, I hope the deadline is pushed back..

OOC: Orders later tonight.

Deadline moved to Wednesday. I'm dealing with alot of moving around and moving in and whatnot, everything should be back to normal by then.
