First off, really excited that this is finally available for preorder. However, I think the blurb (the quick summary under the snazzy picture) on the Steam main page is... well, kind of lackluster.

Interact with new types of city-states, engage in new city-state quests and global competitions, and master exciting new systems for land and naval combat.

With the expansion introducing religion, espionage, nine more civs, new scenarios including a steampunk map, and assorted new wonders, techs, and other goodies, why is over half of this talking about the improved city-states? Frankly, if I didn't already know about all the other stuff, and was basing my purchasing decision on that line alone, I probably wouldn't buy it.

Where are you seeing the blurb?

When I mouse of G&K in the DLC-list I see
Sid Meier's Civilization V: Gods and Kings is the first expansion pack for Civilization V - the critically acclaimed 2010 PC Game of the Year. This robust expansion covers the entire scope of time from founding your first Pantheon of the Gods and spreading religion across the world, to deploying ...

And the page itself is a whole lot of info.

Edit:
Ah, found the blurb, I hadn't looked in the carrousel on the main page! :)

Yeah, don't know, I reckon people with CiV will buy it anyway or something? Dunno.

It's not great, is it?

Expansion packs usually sell quite well regardless, since anyone who owns the game (and that's most people who would ever have been interested anyway) will probably click on it just based on it being an expansion pack for Civ V. That said it's kind of bad how they mention perhaps the least impressive features on the Steam homepage.

They pretty much can gather that there has been tons of hype built up about this for months. If you don't know about GnK, there are tons of articles and info to look at.
