The Bharut Tale: Krishnas address to Arjuna
So was written in Sanskrit at the beginning of a new empire, the house of Pandu had risen above the Kurus and to Arjuna, the leader of the brothers Pandu, came Krishna, from the very heavens in all his splender and gold crown, guilded in skillful grace. So spoke Krishna to bow bearing Arjuna
Vishnu, in all his grace, has held you in power for long but now trails will you face, you oh great son of Indra who is the king of all heavens shall lead your people and your brothers of Pandu to victory
Arjuna bowed to Krishna and gave him many gifts of gold and incense and then so replied he to Krishna
I thank you oh King of Heavans Krishna the divine, I shall do as you ask but why, have I not done enough for you, have I not fought your wars when you would raise not a hand to help
Krishna laughed and bid him to rise and then said he to Arjuna
dear son of Indra whether or not you fight for me, and fight for you people, know that I have already won the war, it does not matter what you do
With that Krishna again rose to the heavens and bid Arjuna farewell before disappearing.
The next day Arjuna and all his brothers, Yudhishthira, Bheema, Nakula, and Sahadeva came to the people of India and so Arjuna addressed them
my bothers and sister, my people!! Krishna himself has come to me and told me of the divine will, we must spread out to the south, we must make our nation a force to tremble before us, long has the house of Pandu been kept at bay by the Kurus and other adversaries but now we shall strict swift and hard!! Rally people of Bharut!!
Cheers and cries of prays went up all through out the lands, and all the people rallied to Arjuna and his brothers. So began he Expansion of Ganga
ooc: First nes post!! yay!
i feel special
EDIT- (the Bharut are what Indians were refered to back then but it doesn't really matter to me)
