thanks for letting me join , and also i will be leaving tomorrow night and wont be home till sunday, april 11. so can you have me continue to expand along the rivers and the coast. Also, grow army and when ever i am aloud to start building a great wonder call it the Temple of Lewis ( +1 economy, +2 education) i will be able to keep checking the forum until i leave tomorrow, i just wanted to tell you all this in advance.

Melinda Erenzburg had established a new military heirarchy. This stressed the importance of military in the social classes, making soldiers and officers on top of almost everyone else. Melinda Erenzburg was aging however, she was 15 when the survivors crahed landed, and now was almost 50. During the night, she passed away from a stroke, associated with the still little medical equipment that was availible. This was as to be expected during this time, 50 was an old age, around 35-40 was the life expectency. People who were born before the crash, was now a small percentage of the population.
With Melinda's death, her only child soon took power. The 21 year old Matthew Erenzburg, a top leader and military commander of the army, was the first to declare power from his mother. He quickly disposed of the only person who could challenge his power, his father. His death was an easy one to mask. He was almost 50 himself and a death at this age was expected. Everything was in order for Matthew to take charge.
Matthew was one of the few educated people left in Star Legionarries. He had been told stories by his mother and his father about Earth and how life was back there. Of coarse when they left, they didn't even have the knowladge of a High School graduate. Still he had basic knowladge of Math, History, Science and technology. With these he would lead his people into a new thresehold.
There was threee things that demanded Matthew's immediate attension. The first was the farm land along the coast of the Grand Lake remained mostly un-used. Matthew would reward those farmers who settled these lands and used the fertile lands to feed the small, yet growing cities. he hoped this would lead to a population boom and increase the economy of the nation.
The Second was the Military Heirarchy established by his mother was weak and needed more structure. He devised a way to integrate the government and the social classes together. The government would work as follow:
Officers:
Supreme Commander: Holds power over all the military and controls the government
Commanders: Commander of Army and Commander of Navy Holds a great deal of military power, but no government power. Considered to be close advisors to the Supreme Commander.
Generals(not considered military): Although a formal military name, these are the governors of the country. There are presenently only 4. More will be needed as we expand.
Colonels: Leaders of the 5 Regiments of the nation. Each control roughly 50 men. There is presently 5. The 2 Naval Colonel controls the rowboats and the other the UU.
Capitan(not considered part of military): The mayors of the towns and farming communities. They control local law efforcement. Presently 50 of them. Make up 9% of Officers. More will be needed as we expand.
Lietenant(not considered part of military): The lowest form of government. These are the tax collectors. Presently 500 of them(10 per Capitan). Make up 89% of all officers. More will be needed as we expand.
Meanwhile the Social Structure would work as follows:
1. Supreme Commander- 1 Person: .009% of pop
2. The Officers of Star Legionaries- 562 People(mostly Lt.s)- 5.6% of pop
3. The Soldiers- 287 People. (8 of army is considered officers), Rowboats and UU require 5 people each.) - 3.1% of pop
4. The Farmers/Fishermen- 7,342 people- 71.4% of pop
5. The Merchents/Artisans/Workers- 2,116 people- 20.8%
Each 1-5 representing the amount of power and wealth held by each group.
The final thing was the near completion of the Grand Lake Docks. It would open a huge amount of fishing docks and warfs as well as a place to further trade across the lake. It would bring an era of prosperity to the Star Legionaries.

Arashian and FIN soldiers fail to topple Fallcrazy Stronghold
The Fallcrazy hordes were consistently beaten back in this war, and have merely one stronghold a highly fortified city protected by catapults and some gunpowder cannons. In a dramatic attack that was compared several times to Picketts Charge, Arashian and FIN soldiers ran straight for the stronghold. The attack was doomed, and over 35 casualties were experienced on both nations. However, this city is totally surrounded and under constant bombardment by Catapulteers, so it is only a matter of time before it falls
Back on First Island, researchers finally returned the knowledge of gunpowder to human control. The first shots from a firearm sounded in the sparsely populated areas in the west. To top this off, Triremes and Catapult Triremes, both vastly superior to Rowboats, started construction in the nation.

Fallcrazies halt extensive Star Pioneer expansion efforts
As the quota of expansion for five years was nearly achieved, insane humans armed with bronze weapons and armor struck out at Pioneer forces making the expansion. No losses were recorded, and the fallcrazies beaten back, but disturbing news had come in these people controlled a good amount of land on the island. Any further expansion would have to be made by the point of the sword.
On the other hand, a hefty supply of iron was discovered in the deep interior of the pink leaf forests
Greylords Land the most educated nation on Aphrodite!
With a fierce devotion to learning about the environment around them, the people of The Greylords Land are among the most well-educated in the world. They make numerous small discoveries which slowly-but-surely enhance peoples life expectancies and worker efficiency. A major development as of late, however, is the development of a metallic alloy, which consists of an unnamed metal native to Aphrodite and copper. This alloy is very strong, very durable, and makes for an excellent handheld weapon
The Star Legionaries under new leadership!
Melinda Erenzberg passed away from a stroke early in 32 A.L. Her son, Matthew Erenzburg, quickly seized power, assassinating his only possible competition [his father], and became Supreme Commander of the growing empire. He quickly set about perfecting the Military Hierarchy his mother had instilled, increasing its efficiency many, many times.
Under his able leadership, the Grand Lake Docks were completed and the empires lands consolidated. Farms were set up to help feed the growing population.
A new nation rises in the south!
The Nation of Lewis was founded on the Main Southwestern Island, the one to the south of First Island. Its location can get quite cold and scouts sent farther to the south have found permafrost. Expansion to the north seems most plausible to the people of this newly-formed nation.

The distortions from the third moon seem to end and the auroras in the sky disappear along with them. However, it would seem that the second moon of Aphrodite has moved in front of the third moon
