Communism is not that bad in theory. The reason many people, especially Americans, have so much against is probably partly leftovers from the propagande of the Mccarthy period, partly the gross inconsistencies between the doctrine of Marx and those that share his general ideals, and the doctrine of Locke and those that share his general ideals, and lastly the many bad examples of how communism has been sought to be practically implemented.
I do not view communism as essentially more evil than laissez-faire capitalism, but one of its major problems is that it's very prone to corruption, and to the system actually becoming more akin to an oligarchy or a dictatorship. Perhaps this is due to Marx not being particularly specific in regards to the social order of the established communistic government after the Revolution. See, there are two basic interprenations of communism - one with a heavy emphasis on State control in all matters(as in most of the communist regimes the world has seen), and one leaning towards an almost anarchistic interprenation(which is really only feasible in smaller communities). Neither of them are a great basis for a large society.

Sure I support the Dems over the GOP (Anyone with a brain can see why) but Im not a propaganda victim, I don't even support any party in particular beside the Communist party (but it is rather small and inconspicuous right now), I actually am the treasurer of the Young Communists club on campus, wich is the 3rd largest club in the school, first being the Young Democrats and 2nd being (lol) Spanish Club, it's a fun club I guess.Xanikk999 said:
