As trade with Novgorod intensified, the nation of Finland is formed between the prosperous, once divided, tribes. The council of the leaders chose Tampere as the highlight of the new confederation capital, which soon housed the first multi-leader government.
The kingdom of Brisbane is soon met with competition as the Aborigines tribes also compete for the little fertile land. Fighting soon breaks out, and if it werent for the Brisbane army escorting settlers, the Aborigines would have slaughtered the Brisbanians. As it were, the fighting took place in small battles, resulting in many Brisbanian deaths.
-50 Spearmen, 100 Archers.
A population boom in the southeast Asian islands greatly benefits the people of Java, as the excess people soon move to where opportunities await them: across the sea. Many small villages soon turn into port towns, where the empire is welcomed with open arms. The whole of the empire is now connected through an intense network of ports for communication. Meanwhile, the Malay experience an even better population surge, and their expansion soon outmatches that of the Java.
Sjæland falls to the Vikings almost without a death, and the Danish tribal independence is no more.
Tripolye is soon littered with temples depicting the gods of Dvubozhism, a strong state-supported religion that is practiced by at least every three out of four Tripolyians. In each temple, an education system has been set up, and a new alphabet (insert ancient Slavic alphabet) has been created. Also, as expansion down the
On top of the cultural expansion, the Tripolyians also expand aggressively into the region inhabited by the Goths. Believing these people to be primitive barbarians, the Tripolyians were not expected what was in store for them. As their army went around defeating expected primitive stone armies and burning villages, they also anger and alert the rest of the Goths. Putting their own differences aside, the Goths band together under a new King. Being a man not of his own time, this King new the most powerful secret known to mankind: the formula for iron. As Tripolye gobble up the rest of the disunited tribes, the new nation of Dacia creates an army of swordsmen and spearmen, who then surprise the Tripolyians at the battle of Oradea. The Tripolyians were defeated, and pushed out of the new Kingdom.
-250 Spearmen, 250 Archers, 50 Chariots, 50 Horsemen. However, because they fought for years against the iron army, the Tripolyians have themselves developed the way to forge iron, and have entered the new age.
Norman and Brittany begin to first extensive sea trade in the world as the English Channel gets what could be a small hint of what is to come. (+ economy for both).
The Japanese finish of the Kyushuians and fully claim Kyushu with minimal casualties. But many of the tribal leaders escape the Japanese and flea south, to a distant island that the Japanese do not know about, and that only a few of the bravest sailors can get too. The island of Okinawa soon becomes a myth in Japanese culture.
The Satari continue their normal trade and expansion, when eventually the evolution of iron came from those who were settling in the dangerous Himalayas mountain range. The iron soon spread to the rest of the empire, as well as to a Bactrian tribe, which then uses the new technology to build a powerful army, which ultimately unites the land into one Empire.
The inhabitants of Sardinia are slaughtered as the Sicilians land and conquer the small mountainous island. Immediately, many Sicilians flock to this new land for settlement, and it soon becomes a sister island to Sicily. Meanwhile, expansion on the Italian peninsula hits a hard spot as the Etruscans fight against being conquered, slowing down expansion and taking lives. Also, food is brought back from an exotic place in the north, and is soon distributed among the many people of Sicily, which increases luxury living and lifestyles. However, this trade is already at risk as pirates plague the Ligurian coastline.
The Austrians march north against the Bavarians launching an invasion from both sides. However, as the two armies make huge and wonderful gains, the rather small defense left at home fairs much worse against the Bavarian invasion led by Frederick the Great. An Austrian town is captured just a couple miles from Vienna.
-200 Spearmen, 100 Archers.
Sphardian settlers finally arrive in the legendary Balearic islands, where they proceed to set up a very common village. However, this village soon grows as trade manipulates the dock into a sprawling port. Valentia is also transformed into a trade hub as the two cities exchange goods with one another (+ economy). Meanwhile, expansion continues without a hitch in the south, while in the north they are met with a newly United Basque. Unfortunately for the Sphardians, the Basque takes much of the land in the west before it could be settled.
Ligurian fishermen dominate the sea as their fleets are out in full force all over it. Also, exotic goods from Sicily are under attack as pirates patrol the coastline.
The people of Calicut take to the sea much like their Sinhalese neighbores. A colony is established way up coast, next to the Gujarati people, and trade is soon established. Meanwhile, an expedition was sent into the western unknown, and was never heard from again. Also, education reforms have increased the literacy rate among older nobles, and thus Calicut is the most literate nation in the world. (+ education).
The urbanization in Illyria is unlike anywhere else in the world. Because of the amount of towns and villages, people are much easier to protect, and trade flourishes (+economy). Meanwhile, the first tactics in Europe are used as the Illyrians make war upon the Etruscan tribes, who are busy with the Sicilians in the south. First, a distraction is sent in the center, and as the Etruscans were drawn to that point, larger armies invaded from either end, either the north of the south. The result was a squished Etruscan army. The combination of the block formation and the invasion tactics has just about wiped the Etruscans off the map. The remaining offers their land and independence to the Illyrians if they will aid them against the Sicilians.
-150 Spearmen, 100 Archers
The Britannians are quick to learn about the winds and sea as the brightest minds take to the sea in an expedition not for land, but for understanding of the way nature works and balances (+ education). Meanwhile, two expeditions that are in the search of territory land in Ireland and at the barbarous mouth of the Elbe. Ironically, the barbarians at the mouth of the Elbe accept a small Britannian trading post, while the Irish destroy the settlement set up.
Also, the first wonder is complete in the fields of Britannia. Stone Hedge is the centerpiece of an empire deeply devoted to its gods and science. As a result, culture and education are greatly affected by this temple to the gods.
