Update 2, 3800bc
--- World Events ---
A nation, under the leader only known as Death, has chosen the city of Edo to make it its home. Constantly under attack, the city is in dire need of allies.
The mathematically inclined Egyptians have developed the first writing system. They call their pictographs Hieroglyphics, and are already used throughout the various Nile tribes, including the Nubians. A similar system is developed in Ur, where Sumerian scribes develop the cuneiform writing. (An Education stat has been added to these nations, and you may increase to Average).
Egypt annexes the northern Nile delta, finding the soil very fertile and the population large. Immediately more food is available, allowing people to work less and do more leisurely things such as making pottery, which is then sold and traded to the southern Nubians, who eagerly want Egyptian fine pottery and arts.
Another nation takes root in Africa. From the uniting tribes of Lake Volta, a tribe is born, the Ashanti. Being very adept gold miners, most Ashanti where gold necklaces, a sign of superiority to other tribes. However, there were those who resisted. The Mampong tribe, a very wealthy tribe as well, vows to rid the land of Ashanti dominance.
Attacks upon resisting Uruguayan tribes near Lake Ladoga meet with Fennian warriors. The Fennian warriors are outnumbered, but the sheer will of the men and their confidence for their tribe allows them to successfully end the barbarian supremacy and add the conquered territory to the Fennian Empire.
Burgundy diplomacy to the outlying tribes is mostly unsuccessful save a small band of tribes that were happy to become intertwined with such a renowned empire. These new lands gave Burgundy access to a large river known as the Rhine. However, a large barbarian strike upon Dijoin does waste away countless soldiers. However, a new wonder has begun construction, a road system like no other to allow easy transportation of goods for the economy, but also will allow more mobility for the army.
Something is started in Rouen, Normandy that no one can tell what it is. A large canal is being dug from inland about one hundred feet to the sea. On the sides of this canal is being build wooden ledges. The supreme chief says it is a port, though no one knows what that is.
Upon hearing the Athenian pleas, many Greek states remain sovereign, signaling the Athenian soldiers to invade the countless city-states of Greece. Athens is able to conquer many northern ones easily, but Larissa launches its own campaign and liberates Delphi from Athens, while Athens is being held up in the north by the Aegean Alliance. Many men are lost on both sides.
Sydney is attacked by a huge barbarian alliance! Luckily the army was stationed within the city and repulsed the attack, and even drove them out of their native lands, growing along the coast. Many tribes getting the Aborigine plea to unity spit on the messenger.
Weird things are also starting to sprout in Aragon villages. The slaves call it a marketplace, though no one knows how to use it. In the mean time, bartering in Seville becomes extra lucrative, gaining Saragosa much wealth. Also, Spanish warriors were sent to the east, where a rumored endless sea meets the land, and where a village as powerful as Saragosa has been prospering. The warriors meet with fierce resistance, and were forced to retreat, loosing the most men in a single battle yet.
The amount of soldiers puts a strain on the already-rare farms of Mississippi; the economy plunges as many go without food because it is sent to feed the warring army. Luckily in the north the army is successful in routing some Choctaw villages and capturing some of the land of the Choctaw, bringing in more fertile land that will hopefully attract more farms.
China finally begins to expand through the art of fighting, though the various rival tribes that encircle the empire outnumber them. More warriors are needed to guard the new land conquered, and people have yet to have enough surplus as to make pottery and sell it.
Siamese soldiers continue conquering the nearby tribes, even though food is running low and the economy is not doing so well. After the initial boom of food, the population soared, and now the rice crop is at a low due to the weather extremes. Wise men advise the leader to make slaves of the conquered people to work the rice while Siamese create luxuries such as necklaces and pottery to sell to the more friendly tribes that trade with Bangkok.
The Geystralians continue to expand, relatively unmatched militarily, though there are many who are more learned then the Geystral.
England continues to conquer the small villages that dot the land, though many feel like they are being watched, and one man, who claimed to be from a kingdom known as Scotland in the north, is even caught and killed.
The Sumerian army grows by a seventh since the last century due to the high confidence in the leaders. In other Mesopotamian news, Babylonian army continues to grow and defeat the smaller city-states. Isin and Bismayan fall to the Babylonian armies, allowing the range of control of King Hamurabi to reach that of Sumer and the Tigris Order.
Japan comes under attack! Most of the warriors are called home to man defensive positions. A tribe known as the Aenu, who are much more powerful then the Japanese, have invaded. So far no territory is loss, but many lives have fallen victim to the revolutionary bow that the Aenu posses.
As the Barbaryians continue to expand, warriors in the west meet with a tribe who call themselves warriors of Carthage. At first they seemed friendly, but when the Barbaryians had nothing to offer, they attacked and slaughtered all ten warriors.
