CITY-STATES OF MESOPOTAMIA
Following the Sumerian annexation of Uruk and Girsu, the city-states of Mesopotamia squabble in their own conquests. Babylonia, the major power of Mesopotamia, begins it's conquest in the north with the annexation of Acadia and neighboring Kish. The weaker states of Nipur, Larsa, Umma, and Lagash form an alliance to counter Sumer and Babylonia called the Tigris Code. Nineveh seems to be building up for something huge.

I didn't really look at the last ones Warman posted, but here is the official roster of the Mesopotamian city-states:

Sumer: 600 men, 5 canoes
Babylon: 1,200 men, 10 canoes
Tigris Code Alliance: 850 men, 15 canoes
Isin: 200 men, 3 canoes
Susa: 500 men
Eshunna: 340 men
Nineveh: 900 men, 10 canoes
Mari: 120 men, 4 canoes
Assur: 410 men, 2 canoes
Eridu: 400 men, 1 canoe

Here is a good map to go by:

City-States of Greece
Besides the growing power of Athens, there are other city-states in Athens trying to forge an empire. The main power of course is Athens, but Sparta has been conquering many city states within the peninsula and is in shape to wage any kind of war against Athens. Withholding from the rath of Athens is the lonely Larisa and ally, Volos. These cities have many soldeirs, able to defend their cities from any Athens attack that has come yet. Thessalonika in the north has also heard of the Athenean expansion, and has forged an alliance called the Aegean Alliance that will put up a fight should Athens decide to attack them, with Pella and Philippi, a force to be reckoned with. Meanwhile, Pandosia in the west is growing.

Athens: 540 men, 5 canoes
Sparta: 400 men, 2 canoes
Larissa and Volos: 500 men, 10 canoes
Aegean Alliance: 600 men, 3 canoes
Pandosia: 200 men, 2 canoes
Corinth: 230 men, 7 canoes
Argos: 120 men
Therma: 250 men, 1 canoe

Fennia, a nation of religion, is made of a wandering tribe from Asia, known as the Slavs. The city is the first of the Slavs, and certainly not the last.
NOOOOOO!!!!

They are not supposed to be Slavs, they are supposed to be Finno-Ugrians, as their name suggest

Before 1700 and the establishment of the city of St. Petersburgh, the area was basically the center of Finno-Ugrian culture, having Finns, Karelians and Estonians living in the area or near the area (and there are still a lot of Finno-Ugrians living in northwest Russia, mostly Karelians).

The history of Fennia, chapter I

The hunter-gatherer Finno-Ugrian tribes had been travelling from central Russia towards east; as food ended in one places, these stone-aged food-seekers had to move along, either following the animal crowds or hoping to find something new to gather. They were not Finns, Estonians and Karelians as the word "Finno-Ugrian" is understood nowdays; they were Fennians, and they spoke Fennian, as all Finno-Ugrian people seemed to during these days. They were the ancestors of all Estonians, Tavastians, Karelians and Finns.

But the more they travelled, the less food they found; the propable reason for this seems to be the simple fact that they were mostly travelling towards the north and the colder it got the less food they found.

For hundreds of years these hunter-gatherer tribes travelled, and when they finaly reached the Neva river in the eastern end of Gulf of Bothnia, it all seemed lost; they couldn't go back as there was no food left from where they had left, and they couldn't keep on walking forward as the norther they travelled the harder it seemed to find new food. The Neva river area, especially, was very swampy, and not many tribes wanted to travel anymore.

Legend says that it was a man called Brahe, a leader of a moderately small Finno-Ugrian tribe known as Koivisto, who originally came up with the idea that they could actually grow food from the ground. Before this he had already received a message from "Ukko Ylijumala", the highest god of all gods, that the Fennians should gather together and create lasting settlement in the Neva river area, as gods would protect them, but nobody wanted to follow Brahe's lead in this until he got food growing out of dirt. Then people started believing that perhaps Brahe really was a chocen one who could lead the Finno-Ugrians into a lasting civilization.

And so it happened; a few tribes gathered in a place in Neva river and decided to stay at that spot, creating a community that called themselves "Fennians", to separate themselves from other Finno-ugrian tribes who they from now on considered pagan and barbaric. Many of these other tribes would also soon decide to join Fennia...

And the spot where they gathered was named "St. Brahesburg", to honour Shaman Brahe who was chocen by Gods. That spot then became the capital of Fennia - and so, the seeds of an empire had been cropped...

FENNIA ORDERS:
Grow army.
Expand towards south and southwest. Try to convince other Finno-Ugrian tribes to peacefully join Fennia (yell to those poor hungry people: "we know how to irrigate land!" :D) but use army if necessary.

As we grew in the plains around us we find no one near. Only some animals that killed our people. Our explorers have though found a beautiful stream of water called a river, we called it the Yellow River.
